Make Your Phone Signal Stronger

Here is a little tip I learned about making my phone signal stronger. My friend advised me to do this because I was having problems with my 4g signal at home.

Our phone has the ability to receive different kinds of signal. We have 2g, 3g and 4g. I'm not gonna go beyond that, coz we have 5g coming our way soon. Let's talk about the first three.

Now, 2g is being used main for SMS purposes. Though mobile data is achievable, it will take time for something to load on your screen. That's why they developed 3g, for faster data transmission. But people were still not contented with the speed of data being received. Then comes 4g which now offers instant data transmission and lower waiting for something to load on your phone.

So you have the signal for 2g, a signal for 3g and a signal for 4g.

But our phone antenna is not that strong to receive these signals all the time. Depending on your location, or your device's location, it tends to reach only the lower signals. So you have a problem like dead spots or weak coverage for stronger data signals.

For your phone to be able to stay or choose a stronger signal, do this on your phone keypad.

Just type in *#*#4636#*#* and a page will display with different options. Look for "Set Preferred Network", and if you have 3g or 4g signals on your location, you can choose LTE Only or LTE/WCDMA and close the page by pressing your home button. That way, your phone will just stick to LTE or WCDMA which is 4g and 3g respectively. It will not go to 2g which will give you slow internet speeds. That's the reason why you're taking so much time downloading in the internet. Maybe your signal is stuck on 2g.

I hope this will be helpful to you. By the way, this will not work for some phones. If you want an easier way and don't want to press those keys on your keypad or you're lazy enough to do it, You can just download a 4g switcher on your phone's App Store or Playstore.

Have a nice day!!!

As to my undestanding, if you set your phone to LTE only, you won't be able to receive calls or text. I usually do this everytime im playing mobile legends.

Yup...that's the downside of it. So, much better if you choose LTE/WCDMA instead. That way, your phone will switch to either 4g for data and WCDMA for data and calls/sms.
