Bayanihan : A Filipino Spirit
Have you ever went to a province for a staycation? Have you ever noticed them helping one another especially during occasions or special events? Have you ever wondered the reason why they are doing it? That is what we called the "community spirit" or "bayanihan".
Bayanihan is a Filipino custom helping out one’s neighbor as a community, and doing a task together, thus lessening the workload and making the job easier. When Filipinos still had the traditional bahay kubo in the rural areas, since its materials are made from bamboo and nipa or anahaw leaves, they would usually move the entire house, mostly men, using long poles from where it is located to a new place. In return, the family serves food to the volunteers at the end of the move.
But since to the continuous change, houses are no longer made out of bahay-kubo, although there are still some, they no longer do this. But bayanihan doesn't only pertain to carrying and moving bahay-kubos.
Here in the province, during occasions, like wedding, funeral, birthday, or any other kinds of event, neighbors would voluntarily lend a hand. Men would help in butchering either pigs, cows, goats, or carabao and they would also do the cooking. The women would be the one to help in the preparation for the event. They would lend their things like plates, spoon and forks, trays, or linens or anything that can be used for the events. They would also help in serving the food and washing the dishes. They would usually wash the dishes while gossiping.LOL!🤣🤣
Aside from events or occasion, another example of bayanihan here in the province is when a neighbor needs help in tearing down their house. Neighbors, especially men, would voluntarily help. As a sign of gratitude, just like in transferring a bahay-kubo, the family would serve the volunteers food and drinks. They would even provide liqour for those who likes to drink.
Another example is during the construction of the house, when the builders are ready to do the 'buhos' or concrete casted on site or pouring of concrete, men would usually lend a hand to finish the cement slab and the post of the house faster. Although, some would pay those who help, not everyone would accept the said payment.
Its not only during this instances that people are showing bayanihan. Bayanihan can also be shown during calamities. People would voluntarily lend a hand to help those in need.
Bayanihan is a core essence of the Filipino culture. Bayanihan spirit shows Filipinos’ concept of helping one another most especially in times of need without expecting anything in return. Filipinos strongly believe in helping their “kababayans” in any possible way they can do to extend a helping hand.It is a beautiful Filipino mentality of helping one another.
Bayanihan - it is something that we, Filipinos, can be proud of wherever we go.

Strange Memories
"Things end but **memories** last forever"
As I grow up, there are certain memories in my mind that I can no longer recall. Some of those memories are memories of my childhood. Some are happy, some are sad. But there are memories that I can't seem to forget.
Memories of our childhood usually are easily forgotten since our brain is still fragile when it comes to retaining memories. Memories that are significant are the only memories that would usually remain.
As a child, I had lots of memories that would usually come to mind but quite vague. But there are certain memories that is very significant to me. These memories are so clear like it just happened yesterday. It had always been in my mind as I grow up. It's just strange because these memories are magical. And let me share with you these two magical memories.
Falling Stars
These happened when we were still staying at the camp base of Papa in Bula, Camarines Sur. I was 3-4 years old then I guess. There was an event in one of the soldier's house, which was one of their kumpares. After eating, they brought us back home and left us after putting us to bed. They would just leave us since its safe and houses are close to each other. When I woke up, Papa and Mama are still not home so I decided to look for them. As I was walking, I saw something shining on a grass nearby. Since kids are born curious, I decided to check it. And that's when I saw a star. A big, bright star. I never thought that star would be that big. But what really surprised me? When I tried to touch the star, it opened. There was something inside it! There was a tiny human inside the star and it's smiling at me. I stayed there for a while and that's when I heard my Papa calling me. I turned around to look at them. But when I turned back the star was no longer there. I tried looking for it but I can't find it anymore. Mama and Papa kept asking me what I was looking for but when I told them what I saw they just laughed at me. And that's when I saw my Ate with my brother who was also looking for me. I also told them what I saw and they were also amazed. We wanted to look for them but our parents scolded us since its already late so we just went home. I slept with smile on my face as I kept on thinking about it. Which up until now I can still remember.
UFO
This happened when we were already in Burauen, Leyte. I was in grade 2 or grade 3 then. It was night time. And there was no electricity at that time. It was only the bright light from the moon that lights up the place. We were done playing outside since that has always been the thing when there's no electricity back then. When we were at home already and ready to go to sleep, I felt the need to pee. Since I was afraid to go to the comfort , I decided to pee outside. As I was already peeing, there was suddenly strange lights around me and a strange noise which I can here above me. When I looked up I saw a big circle above me which had different strange lights. I didn't know what UFOs then. So I was amazed by the lights. I just stand there looking at those lights. The lights kept on changing and it was really amazing. I went back inside to call my siblings for them to witness it. But when we came back it was already gone. They even scolded me since were already getting to bed then. When my siblings went back, I stayed there for a few minutes hoping for the lights to come back but it never came back. I was sad since I really enjoyed watching those lights as they change. I was in Grade 6 when I learned about UFOs. It reminded me about the lights that I saw and made me realize that it was indeed a UFO. It made me think what might have happened if I stayed there. Maybe the alien had taken me.LOL
I know these memories are quite unbelievable. I also tried to tell this stories to some friends when I was already a grown up but they just laughed at me, telling me how silly my stories are. That they are just part of my imagination as a child. They even told me that I can become a writer because of my imagination. I even doubt myself if theae really happened. But I know in my heart that these memories were real. No one might believe me but who cares, I believe in myself and would always keep these memories alive.

Simbang Gabi : A Christmas Tradition
Since it'll be the start of Simbang Gabi tomorrow morning, December 16, I decided to write this article.
Simbang Gabi is one of the traditions of every Filipinos which is often practiced every december. It is a devotional nine-day masses, which would start on the 16th day of December and ends on the 24th. This is also called as a "Rooster's Mass" since it is usually held at dawn when the rooster would usually crows, although it is called Simbang Gabi which translates into "Night Masses"(I also don't know why it is called simbang gabi though.LOL)
Simbang Gabi originated in the early days of Spanish rule over the Philippines as a practical compromise for farmers, who began work before sunrise to avoid the noonday heat out in the fields. It began in 1669. When the Christmas season would begin, it was customary to hold novenas in the evenings, but the priests saw that the people would attend despite the day's fatigue. As a compromise, the clergy began to say Masses in the early morning while it was still dark before people went out to work the land. This cherished Christmas custom eventually became a distinct feature of Philippine culture and became a symbol of sharing.
But over the years, Filipinos have made some changes in the way that this event is celebrated. Some urban parishes now celebrate Simbang Gabi around 8 or 9 in the evening in order to accommodate the needs of the members of the community who have different work schedules.
Simbang Gabi had been a much awaited event. Though mass is held at dawn, Filipinos sacrifice on waking up early and completing the nine masses for we believe that whatever wish or prayer would come true if you are able to complete the nine masses.
Aside from our wish or prayer granted, church goers are also excited to attend masses because of the food that are being sold outside the church premises that also serve as a symbol of Christmas. These favorite after mass treats are bibingka, puto bungbong, suman sa pasko, suman sa ibos, and the famous Filipino hot pandesal (which is always available even its not Christmas.LOL) Here in Ilocos, we also have our own after mass treats during Simbang Gabi. We have our bibingka, dudol, tupig, miki, and of course, hot pandesal which is perfect for the cold morning.
But why do we really celebrate Simbang Gabi? Simbang Gabi is not just a tradition that is celebrated because we need to do so; it is also the spiritual preparation for Christmas and commemorates the birth of Jesus Christ. Simbang Gabi is also recognized by Catholic Filipino communities who are living elsewhere in the world. No matter how or when this celebration takes place, Simbang Gabi provides a strong indication of the depth of Catholicism among the Filipino people.
Let's always remember why we are celebrating not only Simbang Gabi but also Christmas. As they always say, "Let Jesus be the reason for the season."
Let's Talk
I had this habit of talking to my self and not just an easy exhortation to motivate me or what. It's that sort of talk wherein I create a particular character for myself being in several situations. After creating the 'plot', that's when the talking would start.
I would strike a conversation with myself, as if I'm acting although the characters are all me but in my head they're different persons involved. i would usually do that while I'm not doing anything, I'm on a bus, or I'm washing the dishes. This has been a habit which sometimes concerns me if it just normal. So I did a touch research. And here's what I learned.
Talking to ourself, either in our head or talking loudly, is named imaginary conversation. According to psychologenie.com, loneliness, preparation, dissatisfaction, childhood habit or a mental disorder , imaginary conversations can stem from any of those reasons. The society we sleep in doesn't consider imaginary conversations with oneself, normal. And other people who carry such conversations, tend to feel awkward about this habit. However, not all who talks to himself suffers from a disorder.
According to Dr. Jessica Nicolisi, a psychotherapist based in New York, talking to ourself is normal. Talking to ourself isn’t just normal, it’s good for our psychological state .
Psychologenie.com listed down some instances when talking to ourself is completely normal (and probably everyone does it):
You are brooding about your past
Almost every individual has faced some situations within the past that we're dissatisfied with, followed by the wish of adjusting what went on . When somebody fails to easily accept that the past can’t be changed, they goes to stay repeating this instance in his mind.
Like what I would usually for some of the events in my life that I deeply regret. I would try to go back to those events in my head and try to make changes, making those choices a much better one, hoping I was able to do it than what I really did.
This conversation doesn't signal a mental disorder , it only signifies discontent and thus the wish to correct a situation that cannot be changed.
Self-motivation
Some people have the habit of motivating themselves, as they believe they need self-motivation to surpass things with better results.
This usually happens to me when I am tryi g to reach a certain goal. I would picture my self being on that situation, doing a self-conversation with my future seld.
Self conversation for this purpose isn't abnormal in any way, neither is it a disorder or disease.
Wishful thinking
In such situations, you'll mention unrealistic things to yourself. This is where I would dream of events in my life that never happened, like imagining myself being a different person from what I really am. This would usually serve as my escape from reality.
Feeling lonely
When a person is lonely and has nobody to talk to, he tends to talk to himself. In most cases, you become your own solver . Conversing with one’s self as a results of loneliness is more realistic in nature. While having such conversations, a person tends to pour out his feelings in words, maybe aloud or maybe in his head. However, they're still within the boundaries of sanity.
Feelings of hysteria or panic
In this case, a person has an imaginary conversation with himself, to raised his situation. As his mind is already full of negative thoughts, the person will plan to have a convincing conversation with himself. The conversation will soothe his fear and lower his level of hysteria and panic.
Dr. Nicolisi explained in an article in nbcnews.com, if we speak aloud, it forces us to hamper our thoughts and process them differently because we engage the language centers of our brain. She also explained that by lecture ourselves we become more deliberate, and this creates a slower process to think, feel and act, rather than being bombarded by our thoughts.
Talking to myself is one way of me in releasing stress as it gives me a sense of happiness every time this 'imaginary conversation' ends well. I may not be the only one who talks to myself but with the help of the pieces of information I got, it relieves me to know that it's not because of a psychogical problem that I am doing this.

Article Unpublished!
We all know that read.cash had always been strict but read.cash is getting stricter I guess.
Eversince I started writing an article here, I got one of my article unpublished by the robot.
I have written the article without me realizing that the title is somewhat the same where I got the facts of the said cases. I don't know how to email them for the said "Copyright Exception" so I just decided to delete the article.
After that, I still wrote and posted lots of articles. Some of the facts are still from google since I don't know some information. Read.cash accepted all those articles.
However, just today, a newly written article was unpublished by the bot which really surprised me.
This time, it really surprised me because I did not expected this article to be unpublished. I researched some information about my article but I made sure that the information were revised properly in order for the contents to follow the rules of read.cash.
I was supposed to send an email for my article to be considered but I can't seem to find the email address where to send the email so I was unable to send my request.
To those tenured writers/authors, I would like to request for tips to avoid this from happening. Comment down your tips, I would really appreciate it.
Let's Go, PURO!
The Philippines is an archipelago,an area that contains a chain or group of islands scattered in lakes, rivers, or the ocean. That's why some of our country's provinces or municipalities are usually surrounded by different bodies of water and can only be reached by boat, like the famous Boracay island.
Here in the province of Ilocos Sur, a lot of its municipalities are also surrounded by different bodies of water. Some municipalities and baranggays as well are surrounded by rivers, and oceans. Just like one baranggay in the municipality of Caoayan, Brgy. Puro.
Brgy. Puro is a very beautiful island barangay situated at the mouth of Abra River to the South China Sea. The residents here are mostly fishermen. Some are engaged in farming with the small parcel of land they own.
To reach Puro, you have to stop over at Brgy. Pantay Tamurong in the same town of Caoayan and ride with a boat. (The boat is owned by a family friend so we did not pay any rent, but the rent would usually cost 25php per person.)
With the beautiful view of the Cordillera mountain ranges while taking this branch of Abra River, you can not feel the scorching heat of the sun as you traverse the river because the air is cool and you will forget every worry because of the wonderful view.
This river is a branch of the great Abra River that undeniably creates a wonderful view as it blends with a perfect silhouette with the mountain.
Once you reach the island, boats are seen alligned with each other as they serve as the main mode of transportation in the said barangay.
The water level in the island is perfect for kids since its not deep making it safe for them for swimming.
Despite the island to be a promising tourist destination, Puro is still lacking in lot of things, especially when it comes to health services. Puro does have a rural health center but there are no doctors available. So in times of emergency, they must travel across the river to get to the town proper. So having your own boat is a must in this place. Another issue that this island is experiencing is that the land mass is gradually decreasing making it difficult for the residents. But,residents here especially those who have been staying in this area for a long time doesnt want to leave the place for they know that the island will stay on the map of the municipality.
I know that with the help of the government, Puro will always be a part of Caoayan. And time will also come that the place will be recognized and would be given proper attention that would help its residents.
Let's support local attractions!
※Happy Holidays※
It's 12.12!
This day had been one of the most awaited days of December aside from Christmas day. Why? Because it's Christmas Day Sale in two of the famous online shop platform in the Philippines: LAZADA & SHOPPEE.
Every year, these two online shops offers this grand sale wherein you get items cheaper than the usual price. There had always been a competition going on with these two platforms as well to gain more customer than the other. They also offer free shipping for select products. Sellers also give out additional discount vouchers to customers. They also used popular icons in promoting this event to entice the customers in buying in their online shop. This yeat, Lazada was able to hire Korea's top actor, Lee Min Ho and Teen Queen, Kathryn Bernardo in promoting the said event while Shoppee was able to hire Philippines' Queen of all Media, Kris Aquino and the symbol of Filipino yuletide season, Jose Mari Chan.
A lot of people had been adding to cart prior to this day to ensure thay they'll be able to checkout their items on time and won't miss out the grand sale. I,myself, is not an exception.LOL!
I have been adding items to my cart to ensure that I can easily check them out. These items are gifts for Christmas and I am hoping that they'll arrive in time.LOL!
However, before I made these purchases, I made sure that the reviews were all good and that I'll get my money's worth, just like what I said in my article, "Think before you Click".
It's difficult purchasing items online, but it's the most convenient way to shop especially that we are still experiencing this pandemiv. Let's just be wise and be meticulous in the items that we are buying.
So to my fellow online shoppers, let's check those items out! Happy shopping!
Life in the BPO Industry
*“Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes."*
Business Process Outsourcing, or BPO, refers to the process of contracting standard business functions to be handled by a party outside of the company. The BPO sector is one of the fastest-growing industries in the Philippines since it started in 1992, that's why the Philippines was known as the world’s BPO capital in 2010 because of the many BPO companies that opened.
A lot of people, especially from the province, decided to move to Manila (although a lot of people from provinces moved to Manila even before the BPO started) to land a job in the said industry because of the salary and the benefits that its offering. I, myself, is an example to that.
I was still in college when the BPO industry, or call center as we Filipinos call it, boomed. I was enticed with the thought of working in the said industry for all I was thinking was the glamour of working as a call center agent. I was even thinking not to finish my studies before since I really wanted to work in the industry, but my family did not agree with me so I had to forget working as a call center agent. However, due to some circumstances, I was able to become one.
Year 2012 when the school I was teaching closed. So I was left with no job and a family to feed. That's when I receive a text from JobStreet that IBM is conducting a mass hiring in our province. I don't have a choice since I don't have a job and I really wanted to experience working as a CCA. So, I applied and luckily, I was hired. We undergo communication training for a month in Laoag City. And after, we moved to Manila, Quezon City to be exact. Although I was sad to leave my then 1-year old daughter behind, I was also excited as the same time since I had always dreamed of working in a call center. What excites me actually the most was working at night.LOL! Which I thought was fun but that's when I realized being a call center agent is not fun, at all.
It's fun working in a call center, since we're getting a high salary, we have bonuses, we have allowances, we have HMO but before we can get these, there's more than what other people see.
When we were scheduled for a 2pm-11pm shift, it was still okay since we still feel so normal. But when we started working from 8pm-6am, that's when we feel that it's not a joke. The struggle of staying awake especially when 12mn strikes is real. Drinking coffee was not so helpful. The coldness in the room was not helpful either. If you're not used to cold then goodluck for you.LOL!
If staying awake is a struggle, sleeping is another thing. Since we have our body clock, it's difficult going to sleep since it's already morning, and our body clock also says so. What we would often do to fall sleep? Drink liquor. A bottle or two would usually help but not all the time. So what other options we have? Sleeping pills, although it's not really adviseable to take sleeping pills everyday, or anti-histamine for me.
Another struggle and the most difficult one:Being absent! There is no way that we can be absent for just a headache, a slight fever, or a cough and colds. We can't use school meeting cause you know, there's no way that the principal or school will conduct a meeting at night. The only time that we can be absent is of it's a matter of life and death :(
There's no such thing as holiday for us too since the country where we are offering our services don't have the same holidays as we are and we're not the typical office job. Even typhoons can't be a reason for us not to report for work. The only time we can be absent is if we're going to file a leave which is sad to say, not always approve. So, we don't have a choice but to miss special occasions, like birthday, school activities, christmas, new year, and most especially, we're unable to witness some important milestones of our children.
We are also being 'graded' just like in school. Not everyone are privileged to get bonuses. We need to meet the criterias needed for us to achieve bonuses. Good for you if you have an understanding and patient leader but most of the time, you'll be under the leadership of a 'monster' leader who would alwayd shout at the entire team and would embarassed its teammates.
It's difficult working in this industry. You'll be experiencing lots of stress. You would sometimes feel so unworthy which would add up to your stress. Every agents are also experiencing or undergoing their own battles that we don't know. Being a call center agent is not a bed of roses, but despite all these, there are still people belittling people who are working in the said enviroment. These people has this mindset that working as a CCA is the lowest form of work a Filipino could have. But they don't know that being a call center agent is not an easy job. It's understanding and support that we need and not the spiteful words they're throwing at us. Being kind doesn't need much, just some words of encouragement and understanding would helped.
Let's Dress Up!
**“What one loves in childhood stays in the heart forever."**
*-Mary Jo Putney*
My youngest daughter, Emerie, loves wearimg dresses. She had lots of it. She was not a fan of dresses before, although I am able to wear her a dress but not often. She doesn't look girly as well since she has a very short hair since birth.
But last year, when I was working in Manila, she started wearing dresses everyday. She doesn't want to wear anything except for a dress or skirt.
Her ate Emver has tutu dresses when she was her age. Those tutu dresses was her most favorite ones which she would often wear almost everyday so my mother-in-law would often wash those dresses because she would cry endlessly if she won't wear one of those. So what I did was to brought her a couple of tutu dresses. And then, I looked for her other dresses that she would usually use if we're going out or attending a party so she can use it interchangeably with her tutu dressss.
Since then, she would always wear dresses. She doesn't care if it's an old fashion dress like this:
or this:
Or dresses like these:
She would always wear it with her sandals.
She also loved makeups! There was this one time that she didn't stop.crying for she wants to have her tita's make up kit. So they told her that they'll just buy her one. Look how happy she is when she got one:
She would often day that a princess must always wear dress and sandals. And she must wear make ups too.
Because of her love on wearing dresses, some relatives gave her dresses for her to use everyday. They love seeing her everyday OOTD with her dresses. And she would always love to show them what she wears.
Allowing our kids to wear something that would make them happy is also allowing them to know the true essence of being a child and for these children to feel our support on whatever choices that they want that we know is good for them. Let kids be what they want for their success starts with them feeling genuine happiness in whatever they do.
30 days and counting
"Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try"
Happy 1st monthsary to me!🎉🎉🎉
It has been a month since I created an account for read.cash and didn't expect that I'll stay this long.
It took me a day before I wrote my first article, "How my Bitcoin earnings was Scammed" ( I don't know how to share my articles:( .) I really don't know what to write then so I just thought sharing my stupidity would be fine.LOL!
After a few days, I stopped. I got so busy that I forgot about this platform. However, my nieces and nephews won't stop telling me to take the platform seriously since it's really helpful as an additional soure of income. So I did. Logged back in checked my account for articles that I could read and comment on. That's when I first got my first upvote from my first article. Which was followed by my introduction article,"I am Me".
I was so thrilled that I wrote a short post about it and was motivated at the same time as well that I was able to write my second article, "The One that Got Away". And it was upvoted by the bot as well. And soon, almost all of my articles are upvoted by the bot.
Aside from the bot, I was able to receive upvotes from fellow authors which really inspired and motivated me to keep on what I'm doing which made me write and article about it.
I had also shared some of my simple accomplishments here, like getting couple of upvotes, reaching 10subscribers, and getting 100views. I posted them not to brag but to inspire and motivate others as well.
I know I am just starting but I am grateful that with my 1st month here, I was able to experience all these things. And I am looking forward on the succeeding days on what I can offer and what read.cash can offer to all of us.
Cheers for another wonderful month to me!🎉🎉🙏🙏
An EXO-L Through and Through
I was not really a fan of KPOP before. The only KPOP idols that I know was 2en1, because my younger siblings were both fan of the said group. As a call center agent, I was too busy catching up some sleep because of the nature of work that we have. The only hobby that I have during those that was reading wattpad. I love reading so I got addicted with it. That's when I came across a story entitled "Welcome to EXO World".
"Welcome to EXO World" was a story on wattpad (I just forgot the author though.LOL). It's a story of a girl who live with EXO, a popular KPOP idol, who has a special bond with Baekhyun who is the lead male character. The story revolves around them. And because of the funny characters that is on the story, I got curious and decided to know more about them.
I started watching their videos, familiarize myself with every members which was difficult at first since they got 12 members. But eventually, I was able to memorise them. It was also a good timing since they have just started they first TV Show, EXO Showtime. The show gave us an introduction of every member and it shows us the different characteristics of each member. Watching the show gave me much happiness. And I was able to get to know them better.
They have been my constant stress reliever. I don't have a smart phone before so I would always visit a computer shop near our boarding house and would stay there until the shop closes. But once I got myself a tablet and a smartphone, I filled it with videos and music of EXO.
Knowing EXO helped me become an avid fan of KPOP. I started listening to Super Junior, 2en1, Shinee, Bigbang, and many more.
EXO was on the top of their career when Kris, the leader of EXO-M, left the group in May 2014, while EXO was in the midst of promoting its song "Overdose" and in the midst of preparing for their first concert. I, being a Kris-bias, was devastated and betrayed for his departure. I did not expect that to happen but upon reading the reason of his departure, made me understand him for it was the same reason that Hangeng, a former SuJu member, complained against their company.
When every EXO-Ls were almost getting over Kris' departure, a few months after, Luhan, another Chinese member, also filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment on October 2014.
2014 was not the year for exo when it comes to having the group intact but despite these departure issues, "Overdose" gathered a lot of attention.
When 2015 came, the group released their new album, "EXODUS" with "Call Me Baby" as a hit single. During the promotions, Tao, the maknae of EXO-M and also a Chinese member, was missing for some of their guesting due to injuries and then, April of 2015, his father posted on Social Media about his departure. I was hurt as I consider him my baby panda but I was trying to understand because he was being neglected by the company. However, the betrayal that I felt when Tao left was far more intense than Kris' when Tao released his first solo album 3 months after his departure. As an EXO-L, I was really betrayed and disappointed in him.
After all these departure issues, the remaining members of EXO stand strong. With Lay left, everyone is expecting him to leave but Lay remained loyal. However, an issue between China and EXO are hindering Lay from joining his brothers in the group activities.
EXO had face a lot of controversies, dating issues, health problems, and the latest, Chen's shocking announcement of his marriage and him being a father. This news shocked everyone sunce it was an unexpected news. This created a ruckus when some of the Kerries, Korean EXO-Ls, wanted him out of the group howevrr, international fans and the rest of the Kerries protected him and we were successful enough since most of the projects to remove him failed. Chen then enlist for his military service a few months after, making him the 4th member to enlist.
Currently, EXO has 9 members, with 4 on military service while Lay is in China for his solo activities.
Whether OT12 or OT9 or OT8, EXO would remain to be EXO, a group that would always be on top no matter what. And I would remain as an EXO-L through and through.
PS: Here is a picture of our adorable baozi, Xiumin, after his discharge today.
PPS: A photo of my UB, Kai, on his debut stage as a soloist.
It's Christmas Time in the City
"Christmas has finally arrived in Ilocos Sur!"
Since Christmas is just a few days away, lots of places are starting to light up their Christmas trees and putting up decorations to feel the presence of Christmas. And our province is not an exemption to that. From Christmas tree lightings to openings of Christmas villages, the province had always put extra efforts in showing tbeir love and passion for the said season.
Vigan City
Christmas feels started to illuminate in the City as the City Government of Vigan steered the lighting of the colorful 37-foot Christmas Tree last November 27, 2020 in front of the Vigan City Hall.
The lighting was led by the city's Vice Mayor Lourdes Baquiran.
The giant, glittering Christmas Tree sparks hope and positivity to every Bigueño and Ilocano especially in this time of pandemic.
Aside from the Christmas tree, the city also opened its Conservation Complex Season Park.
Located at Brgy. San Julian, the said park served as a Christmas Village in Vigan. Filled with lights and decorations, the park has been an attraction for the Bigueños in this time of the year.
Provincial Capitol
Governor Ryan Singson led the Christmas tree lighting ceremony held in front of the capitol in Vigan City on Tuesday, December 1. It was a festive event, with Christmas songs blaring on speakers as Singson, his family, and the rest of the crowd watched the tree light up.
The Christmas tree was decorated with poinsettias, reindeers, and of course, everyones favorite, Santa Claus.
Bantay

Of Life and Regrets
**Something you need most might be something you turn away from, something you turn away from might be something you regret, and something you regret, in the end, might cost you the one chance you ever had.**
*-Brian Judge*
I got pregnant and got married at an early age of 21, a few months after I passed my board exam. It was unexpected. I was disappointed in myself then. I had lots of plans for me and my family. I even planned to have an abortion but I was afraid. My fear in God was bigger than what I was thinking. And I know that making another mistake couldn't solve the first one. So, me and my boyfriend took the responsibility for the mistake that we made.
It was difficult at first since I was unprepared and my family doesn't approve my husband. But they don't have a choice, I can't have a child without getting married, its against our code of ethics as a teacher.
Life was difficult, me teaching in a private school with just a small salary and my husband as a construction worker. I wanted to ask for help from my family but I can't. I was supposed to go back to my hometown but I didn't go. I was supposed to teach there but I didn't. Wrong decision.
Marriage life was difficult. Me and my husband would always fight over small things. And then, he cheated on me. I wanted to leave him but I can't. I don't want my child to jave a broken family like me, so I stayed. Wrong decision. Again.
I stopped working as a teacher, and decided to work as a call center agent. It was difficult at first, leaving my 1year old child then. But for the sake of giving her a better life I have to. And then my husband decided to worked abroad. So I stopped working, and took care of our child. And then,he cheated on me again, with the same girl. It was painful, but I have to fight for my child so I stayed though it hurts. Another wrong decision.
He finished his contract and came home. Then, I got pregnant with our second child, and guess what? He cheated on me again for the 3rd time, and yes, it's the same girl. I feel like being played on. I want to give up but he pleaded so I once again forgave him. Wrong decision still.
Since I made that mistake and made that first wrong decision, I felt like my life is starting to become a big joke. Do I feel any regrets? I do! Million regrets is what I have right now. A lot of what ifs and maybes. I would sometimes imagine myself being in a different situation, thinking what might have happened if I did not do this, I did not do that. What could have life been if none of those happened. But, one thing I know I will never regret, giving birth to my two lovely daughters.
My Ferocious Four
My youngest had been so active even before she was born. When I was still pregnant, she started kicking when she was just 4months. I was amazed since my eldest started kicking on her 5th month. And eversince, she had always been so active, kicking frantically inside.
As active as she was in my tummy, she was way more active when I gave birth to her. She was able to lay down on her tummy on her 4th month, sit on her 6th, and walked on her 11th month. So when she finally reached her first birthday, she was already a walking disaster.
She had been so mischievous eversince she began walking. We have experience her different phases, from the walking one, terrible two, threenager, and now ferocious four.
When she was still one, no one noticed her when she tried to follow me to school to fetch her sister. She was able to reach the main street in out barangay. It was a good thing that our barangay captain saw her,but was not able to recognize whose child she is. So what he did was he stayed with her at the waiting shed waiting for someone to ask. It was one of her ninangs who is also our neighbors who was able to recognize here and brought her home. Eversince, we would always watch where she goes.
When she was two, that's when it becomes worst. She would go to our neighbor's house without asking our permission. We would sometimes end up going to all our neighbor's houses just looking for her. She loves going to everybody's house and would hide there if she knew that we're looking for her. Our neighbors would sometimes play along with her and wouldn't tell us she's there. Her mischief doesn't end there. She would play with whatever items that she could find in our house, especially water. There was one time when our kitchen became a mini pool when she opened our water dispenser. She also started scribbling on our painted walls making it her personal canvas.
And here comes her third year, the scribbling on the walls got worst. Our house is now a total mess. She, along with her one-year old cousin, are a tag-team. Every corner of our house had scribbles on it. Marker, pencil, pen, crayons. Anything that can leave a mark, she uses it. And she doesn't stopped there. She would even write on her body, her hands, her feet. She would also play with her tita's makeup set and would put make up on her face and on her body. She would play with powder and would pour it all over her cousin's head and body. Rolls of tissues are scattered everywhere making it useless. It's also difficult going to parties or events as she can't sit still. She would sit for a minute or two, and then she would start roaming around. She would sometimes lay on the floor. And scolding her doesn't work. I feel like sometimes I'm talking with a wall.
And now that she's four, I'm already preparing for the worse. If I was stress for the past three years, I don't know how stress I could possibly be these year. LOL!
However, despite all the mischief that she caused and will be making in the near future, I am still grateful for she is the sweetest child, sweeter than her ate. She's full of charm which is adored by everyone. She's an angel, an angel in disguise though.LOL!
PS: Sorry for the pics, I just want to show her to everyone 🤗🤗☺️☺️

What's up, SARYAP?
Our country are rich with different forms of water. Some of which are well-known internationally, like Boracay. But, most of these are undiscovered since it lacks support from it local government units. Nowadays, a lot of rivers, lakes, and others forms of water are being are undergoing beautification and improvement to become tourist destination within the community and eventually, internationally known tourist spots.
Here in the province of Ilocos Sur, a lot of bodies of water are being improved and beautified to become an attraction. With the support of the LGUs of every municipality, these bodies of waters which seems to be neglected before are given attention and funds for its impovement, just like the Saryap River.
Saryap River is located in Brgy. Nansuagao,Caoayan. It is a few minutes drive from Vigan City. It has clear, fresh water with trees around it. Saryap river served as washing area of its residents because of its environment and its clean water. Residents in the said barangay and nearby barangays also get their food here like fresh water shells and fishes.
It started gaining attention when people posted pictures while they are there to wash their clothes or just simply taking a bath since people here in the province loves to take a bath in rivers. Because of the attention that the river is getting, the municipal government and the baranggay decided to improve its surroundings.
The LGUs are trying their very best in making Saryap River known to everyone. They are making these improvements to entice people's curiosity. But, despite these improvements and beautification, they are not neglecting the welfare of our nature. They always remind people to clean before they leave. They also provide garbage bag to be used. They also have placards posted like this one:
The place is not yet fully-developed but with the support of its LGU, Saryap will get the attention that it deserved.
Let's support local attractions in our areas, and help develop these natural places that we have.
Great evening! I was supposed to publish an article but I wasnt able to do so since I am so tired from the event we had,so I'll be hitting my bed and be off to sleep. Will be publishing an article hopefully by tomorrow. Jaljayo yeorubeun!😘😘
A Blast of Rewards
It's been a while since I become this active that I am able to write two articles at a time. Ideas are rushing in my mind for the past few days but I am unable to write it down right away since my phone is broken. My sister-in-law's laptop is what I've been using this past few days.
Just today, I published two new articles, Different Customs, Same Occasion and Memories of a Child. These were emotional articles for me since it touched important chapters of my life. I published it with joy in my heart as I felt like I have shared and opened my life to everyone. After a few minutes of publishing these articles and logging out, I logged back in and these notifications surprised me:
These blast of rewards really surprised me. Sharing a piece of me gave me this so I'm planning to share everything about me.Char. I feel so blessed and I feel so grateful that the bot supports my articles. I feel so loved :) Publishing these articles made realized one thing. If we published an article with joy in our hearts, it will be love in return. So, let's write articles that will spread happiness and articles that will bring us joy.
Love and peace everyone! :)
Memories of a Child
I was 4 years old when we move from Camarines Sur where I was born. We were staying at the camp base where Papa is assigned. He was a soldier then. Me and my siblings were already growing up and we need to go to school so they decided to move to my mother's hometown.
We stayed with my grandparents there along with my half-sister and half-brother and my uncle. Staying with our grandparents was not the best part of my life. I would always remember my grandparents and uncle being mean to us. They would often scold us for even small mistakes that we made us a child. Ate Rona, my half-sister is the only one who was nice to us. Sometimes Kuya Jun-jun would scold us too but not to often. But when both of them left, no one would defend us from our grandparents and uncle since Mama is always scolding us too. I remember an incident where my uncle hit our younger brother with his shirt when he saw him laying down the sofa. We were cleaning the house that time but our youngest brother was sick so we advise him to just lay down and he was just 4 then, so he really can't do much but my uncle doesn't think that way. He thought that my brother was slacking and doesn't want to help so he hit him. My heart ache upon seeing him do that but I can't do anything since we were still young. All I was able to do was get my brother and tag him along with me while cleaning. Another incident was when we were playing , we were taking turns on the hammock that Papa left us. My grandfather wants to use it but seeing us playing on it, he wasn't able to do so. So what my grandfather did was he told Mama that we were so noisy playing on the hammock that he was not able to sleep. I decided to answer back because it was not true but Mama sided with Lolo and slapped my lips for answering. I was hurt, physically and emotionally, but I can't do anything. After that Mama told us not to play in the house. She advised us to play on the vacant slot near our house, just at the back of our school so we did. Mama was sitting there, just watching us play that when I thought that Mama must be sorry for what she did and that she cared about us.
I don't know why they were mean to us, Mama's other siblings were not though. They loved us like their own. The only time that they were kind to us was every time Papa is around. I would often laugh inside bitterly every time that they act so kind towards us. And I hate it every time they act that way. There was a time when I thought that my grandparents and my uncle were mean to kids not until my cousins who were staying in Ilocos Norte then came to visit. They were never mean to them. I have never seen them been so kind not until that day. I never heard them shouted at them or anything. They don't even let them do anything. At first, I just thought that it's just a show, just what they do to us when Papa is around since they were just there for a vacation. But, when they decided to stay with us, that's when I realized that they don't like us at all. It was emotionally painful how unfair they were to us. It was a good thing though that we were no longer staying with them because it would really hurt me more if I 'll keep on experiencing unfair treatment from them.
We don't have a house in Burauen since Papa is not from there. So when we first arrived there, we stayed with our grandparents and uncle. And then we moved and rented a house in a nearby sitio. We stayed there for 3 years I guess. And then we moved again to another house, this time just in front of our grandparents house. We stayed there for a couple of years I guess. And then we moved again for the last time where we rented the land and built our house. This is where we stayed the longest until our parents got separated and moved to Ilocos.
All my memories as a child is here in Burauen. From my first friend, to my childhood crush. It is also where I spent 6 years of my elementary life. I just love my school here in Burauen, Burauen South Central School. Our school was very huge. Some school competitions are being held there. Sports, scouting, marching band, and a lot more. There is a huge Acacia tree in the middle of the main school grounds. We have also a huge garden where we plant different vegetables. We also have a different garden and classroom which is near the rice field. It is where we took our gardening and woodworking class. It's somewhat scary sometimes going there since the classroom is already old and there are a lot of trees but we always enjoy taking class there. We would sometimes play games there. How I miss that school.
When we left Burauen, I felt like I left a big part of me there, especially that Mama was left behind. My experiences with my grandparents and uncle was the worst but I had far more happy memories when we moved out which remains in my heart. I may had experiences difficulties and hardships in life while we were still there but all these experiences are a part of my life that I will never forget. I would sometimes cry every time I recall all these memories and every time I remember Mama. Leaving her was difficult but as a child, I can't do anything. One of my goals right now is to go back to Burauen, to visit Mama and to relive the memories that I have left there. It might not be right now, but I know I'll be able to achieve it one of these days.
Different Customs, Same Occasion
As a child, I had always loved Christmas. Well, who doesn't love Christmas with all the merry-makings and gift giving's. Growing, I was able to experience different customs when it comes to celebrating Christmas. Let me share to you the different customs that I have experience while in Burauen, Leyte and Vintar, Ilocos Norte.
Burauen, Leyte
I was raised in Burauen, Leyte when our family moved from Camarines Sur where I was born. Papa was a soldier, so we stayed at the military camp but they decided that we need to move to my mother's hometown. Most of my Christmas memories as a child was spent here. Celebrating Christmas here was simple. Days before Christmas, we would go caroling with friends. Whatever we get, we would divide it depending on how many we are that went caroling. On Christmas Eve, Mama would just cook spaghetti, while we go caroling. We would always excitedly go since we know that almost everyone would give us money. Before Christmas Eve, only few would give money since they would always say that it's not yet Christmas. After we go caroling and after dividing the money that we collected, we would go straight to our house where Mama would be waiting for us. She had already prepared the table with spaghetti, a bottle of 1 liter of Coca-Cola, bread, and my favorite, which I haven't tasted for a long time, torta bread.
Torta bread had always been part of my Christmas every year when we were still in Buraue. Sophia's Bread and Pastries sells the best torta bread. Mama would always have torta bread during Christmas. Sometimes, even when we don't have enough money, as long as we have torta bread, Christmas would always be complete. Before going to bed, we would always hang our socks on our window for Santa. Although, I would sometimes question myself before how Santa would know who's socks is it if we won't put a name on it. But since I was still young, I would always think that Santa knows every kid in the world.
On the morning of Christmas, Mama would dress us up, preparing us to go on house to house Christmas visitation (sorry, I forgot the right term but if you know, kindly comment please?). We would go to a house and greet them a merry Christmas and in return, they would either give us money, candies and treats, gifts, or sometimes they would invite us to eat. We would do the same thing in every houses. Every houses prepares different things for kids. You would often see long lines in every houses. There are houses that would add twists before they give like there would be an answer question that would give you twice the amount or quantity of what they give. We would do it for the entire morning. We might be tired but we are always happy since its not everyday that we get lots of money, candies and stuffs.
Vintar, Ilocos Norte
It was the summer of 2011 when my parents separated so Papa brought us in his hometown, Vintar. Christmas was a bit different for we would only go caroling once, and that's on the eve of Christmas. The only time we would go caroling before Christmas Eve is everytime our school would go caroling in the different parts of our barangay. Although I'm not sure if it's on our barangay only that is like this. On the afternoon of Dec. 24, my auntie would prepare tupig.
Tupig is a pastry from a soft and oily variety of rice used for native sweets (diket) cooked in coconut milk, molasses, sesame seed, and coconut shred. My cousins would dig a rectangular hole in the ground where we would place charcoal. Afterwards, a piece of G.I. sheet or yero is placed on top of the hole where pebbles are placed. This will serve as an improvised oven or pugon where the tupig mixture placed in a banana leaf will be cooked. Tupig would be given to carolers or relatives as a gift.
Nothing much happen on the morning of 25th, unlike in Leyte where kids would go house to house. It's quite disappointing for kids since it feels like Christmas only happen on Christmas Eve.
Vigan City, Ilocos Sur
I added this place since it is where I am living at right now. I've been here since 2010 and been experiencing Vigan Christmas since 2011. Misa de Gallo is always a thing that we would always make sure that we would complete the 9 masses for they say that once you complete it, you can make a wish and usually, it would always come true. Christmas celebration here is also somewhat similar to Burauen since kids would also go house to house on Christmas day. Kids are given money and gifts but unlike in Burauen that wherever house you go, there would always be someone waiting for kids on their frontdoor, sometimes home owners won't open their doors so going house to house here takes guts or what I usually call "KapalMuks".
We may celebrate Christmas differently but the most important thing to remember is that it is Christmas Day, the birth of our dear baby Jesus, and that it is a time of sharing, caring, and loving one another despite all the differences that we have.
Christmas In Time of Crisis
Christmas had always been the most awaited occasion of everyone especially us Filipinos. Our love for the Christmas season is so overwhelming that we start decorating our houses and start the countdown once September comes, that's why we are considered to have the longest celebration.
This year is not an exception. Despite the different crisis that we are facing, we are still excited as Christmas is fast approaching. Children of all ages can't seem to contain their excitement , especially my kids, for they have already hanged their Santa bags where they would usually write down their wish list for "Santa" to fulfill on Christmas Eve. We can already hear Christmas songs being played over radios and other music sites. Everyone feels so hyped up that everyone is being filled with hope that as Christmas approaches, the world will be healed and would go back to normal.
2 months before Christmas, when everyone thought that everything is getter better, a devastating news hit our country.
Typhoon Rolly hit the Bicol region on November 1, which left a destructive trail on the region causing a huge loss in both infrastructure and agriculture in the said province, with 1 casualty and 6 bodies missing. Thousand of residents where led to evacuation centers.
Just days after the onslaught of Typhoon Rolly, another super typhoon entered.
Typhoon Ulysses hit Luzon hardest from November 11 to 12. The typhoon unleashed powerful winds and torrential rain that killed dozens of people, destroyed thousands of homes, and left swathes of the island region flooded. Cries of help flooded newsfeed on social media as people were left stranded on the roofs of their houses.
In Isabela and Cagayan provinces in the Cagayan Valley, heavy rains threatened to overspill Magat Dam, the largest in the country, where authorities decided to release water from the dam to prevent it from spilling, but the surge from the opened floodgates caused massive flooding that submerged many houses and displaced thousands of residents.
Different kind of rescue and financial drives where held to support the affected residents of different affected regions. People extend their helps in any means, food, clothing, water, and money just to make sure that our fellow Filipino are given the help that they need. Aids from different countries as well are being sent for assistance.
It's devastating that a our fellow countrymen are experiencing such crisis especially now that Christmas is fast approaching. Spending Christmas in evacuation centers, away from their homes. But knowing how strong we Filipinos are, I know that we could stand again with smiles in our faces and celebrate Christmas with our loved ones with the excitement. It might not be as grandiose as it was before, but I know that as long as families are together, Christmas would still be meaningful, for celebrating Christmas always means hope. Christmas would always be in our hearts, whatever crisis we may face.
My First Earning in read.cash
I've been using read.cash for 2weeks now. I have written a few articles on this platform already. And most of them were upvoted by the bot rewarder and some tenured authors as well. Looking into my wallet as the amount increases excites me and inspires me to write more. I was not able to participate in the activity bonus that much because I was busy taking care of my kids and doing their modules. I only have time during my kids' nap time and at night. It was only a few hours that I can interact with fellow authors here that's why I don't have much activity bonus tips.
This morning, I decided to withdraw the money that I have accumulated. Since it was my first time withdrawing it, I was quite nervous,first-withdrawer jitters I guess (if there is a thing.LOL.)After a few minutes I was able to withdraw my funds. So I checked my Coins.ph account, (I'm not sure if that's only wallet that I can use but it's what my nephews recommend) and my money was not there. I just thought that it might take a few more minutes so I waited. After an hour, I checked my account again but to no avail so I posted a question here.
But sad to say, no one responded. So I tried to do some research on my own. I went to my wallet and open the receive button of my BCH wallet.
This is what it says:
So, it gives me the conclusion that I did something wrong. It says that I can only send BCH in my BCH address but I sent it as dollars. I was disheartened because I thought I lost my first earning. It might have been a small amount but that still means a lot to me.
As I was putting my youngest to sleep for her nap time, I received a text message on my old phonebfrom coins.ph. My heart jump with glee. For it says that I just received the BCH that I have sent. So, I borrowed my mother-in-law's phone (my phone broke btw). And tada!
My first earning here has finally transferred to my wallet. It's still small I know, but if it accumulates, it might be enough to buy me a new phone. LOL!
I know I still have a long way to go but as I've mentioned before, I'll get there for sure. We'll all get there.
Think before you click
"Think before you click." This doesn't apply only when it comes to posting something or commenting about something. This also goes to some stuff that needs thinking before we click that button. Below are just some of the things that we need to think before we click.
ONLINE SHOPPING
A lot of us are fond of online shopping , especially us Filipinos. Since it is more convenient, it is also hassle-free. More are being entice to purchase online when different platforms, like Lazada and Shoppee, have different promotions which offer big discounts and free shipping. But not all online sellers can be trusted. Some would trick buyers by posting a stuff they sell and provide information that are too enticing to buyers which would trick them to buy the said stuff and just like what they said, "If it is too good to be true then maybe it is." So before we click on that checkout button, double check the items first. Check the reviews if the items are good quality. Check also were the item comes from and check the price if the item is worth it. After you're done checking these things, then go on. Click on that checkout button.
Click baits
Some people are often scammed because of malicious emails. These emails would contain links that contains a phising software that would enable the sender to get details from the person who click the said link which they use in scamming. A very good example of this would be security emails of various banks or financial platforms, like PayPal that scammers would send to customers. The email would usually looks like this:
The blue link where it says, "Log in to confirm your account", is where the phising is link. Once the link is click and the person logged in to their account, the scammer would be able to get access into the account which would sometimes cause the account to be hacked. So before you click into anything, be sure that the email is not fraudulent. Usually, these platforms has a customer service hotline that you can call on to verify if the email sent is fraud or not. Remember, if you're not sure, don't click.
It may seem simple but one click might change everything. So be careful what you CLICK for!

How long will it normally takes for the money to show on your wallet?it's not showing anything
She's Gone
There she is laying as though life has been sucked out of her. She was weak and helpless. Opening her eyes was a struggle. She felt like there's no more sense for her to live. Living was the most difficult part for her.
Ever since, she had always felt so unwanted. Her mere presence means disappointment and everyone around her are annoyed just by seeing her. Everyone around her isn't even subtle on showing how they hate seeing her. She did not want this but what can she do. It had always been like that and there's nothing that she can do.
She had always felt so useless. She wants to help but no one wanted it. She doesn't want anything in return, she just want to help, but they don't want it. As unwanted as she is, nobody doesn't want to do anything to do with her.
She tried to recall all the memories that she can remember. She smiled bitterly for she can't remember any good memories. She was unwanted, useless, and worthless. Is this all that she got? Will someone cry if she's gone? Will someone mourn for her? It hurts her for she knows that no one cares, that no one will mourn, and that no one will ever notice that she's gone.
She has this thought in her mind as she felt so heavy, her heart is heavy for all the pain that she had experienced in her life. She tried to open her eyes for the last time and looked around her. She's trying to remember the place that had always comforted her during her difficult days. And as she finished saving everything around her, she smiled once more, but this time, it was a smile of glee for she won't feel any pain anymore. She smiled once more as darkness started to succumbed and that's when she felt happiness.
A Lost Soul
As soon as she opens her eyes, confusion is written all over her face. The place she's at is not familiar with her. Lot's of questions comes rushing in her mind, "Where am I?", "What is this place?", "Am I supposed to be here?". She tried to remember where she is but she can't recognize it. Still confused, she tried to get up. She looked around, touching everything that she can, trying to figure out where she is. The room was all white, with just the bed, a chair, a table, and a vase. She tried to looked outside the window but all she can see is darkness. Fear slowly creeps into her whole being. She then feels afraid. Afraid of the uncertain that is waiting outside her door. She didn't know what to do. She feel so trapped inside that four-walled space. She tried to scream but no voice came out. She was surprised. "What happened to my voice?", said the voice in her head. She is shaking, and as her body quivers, she bumped into the table and knocked over the vase. The vase broke. She began picking up the broken pieces, but she got hurt. She got hurt but she did not stop picking the broken pieces. She endured the pain while blood was dripping from her wounds. As soon as she finished, she bean looking for a container where she could place the broken pieces. She tried looking into the drawers on the table but to no avail. She only have one option. To get out of that room.
She mustered all the courage that she had. She must get out for she still has a wound to treat. She took heavy steps as she approached the door. With a big sigh, she turned the knob. And as she opened the door, lights blinded her eyes. It was too bright that she can't seem to open her eyes, but as soon as she adjusted to the lights, she looked around her. All she could see is a vast space. She tried to look back and the door was still there. She looked around her and it's still the same, a vast, empty space. She tried to take a step, and then another, and then another. Soon enough, she was already running. She had forgotten her wound. She keeps on running but she doesn't know where she's going. She keeps on running hoping that she'll find something. She runs and runs and runs without her knowing that she's moving farther from the room she's been.
She was running and soon enough, her feet became tired. She was panting heavily. It feels like she was running forever but why can't she get to somewhere. Why is it endless? Is there no one around to help her? She starts to feel the pain once again. And as she looked back, she can no longer find the door. It is no longer there.
The Wrath of 2020
"The best is yet to come." - Frank Sinatra
As 2020 begun, everyone was excited as always for new beginnings. But, this year surprised us for it brought with it some events that no one expected to happen and would change our world forever. Before this year ends in 2months, let's try to recall all the events that impacted our lives this year.

When authors supports each other
Today had been a very busy day. It's just a few weeks from now till my niece's 2nd birthday and I haven't finished cleaning our garage for the venue. So I had to do what I had to do - to clean. I cleaned the garage the entire day that I haven't logged in to this read.cash not until now.
I had already shared with you my simple achievements here about the random rewarder's tips on my article. Today, I got another upvote from the random rewarder again but what surprised me is this:
It was an upvote from another author! She actually upvoted my comment on her article as well.
I was so surprised when I so this. I really felt appreciated motivated as well since tenured writer here at read.cash was able to notice my works. I did not actually expect that that's why I could not believe what I just saw.
@gerl thank you so much for noticing my article. I really appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. 😘😘😘

Simple Successes
I just started with this platform a week ago and it was just recently that I decided to take it seriously.
I never heard read.cash before not until one of ny nephews told me about how they earn just by writing articles and comments. It piqued my curiosity especially that I don't have a job yet. So I asked them how,and they were patient enough to teach me how. When I started this, I was just commenting on some of the articles that I found. After a few days, I stopped opening the site since I got busy with me children's modules. But ny nephews insisted that I need to take thia seriously and showed me their earnings here to think that they are still students. So last Wednesday, November 11th, I decided to learn how read.cash really works. Actually, I have already posted one article then. But I never posted anything after that. I was busy commenting on some of the articles here that I find interesting. After a few minutes, my notification bell turned red so I ahad to check it out. And boy, I was surprised! The Random rewarder upvoted my first article for $0.16. I know its just a small amount but that's a motivation for me. I posted another article to one of the communities that I have joined. After a few minutes, congratulatory notification came in telling me that I am getting notice as my first article now got 11views!I am very happy so I decided to write another article. Right after publishing my third article, another notification came in and guess what? Not just once but I was upvoted by The Random Rewarder twice for my second article. I'm so grateful and happy and I feel so appreciated that I decided to right this article.LOL.
I know its small but celebrating small successes really helps me and motivates me. I'm not yet there but I know I can and you CAN as well. Let's be positive and continue on doing what we love, writing!
