"Think before you click." This doesn't apply only when it comes to posting something or commenting about something. This also goes to some stuff that needs thinking before we click that button. Below are just some of the things that we need to think before we click.
ONLINE SHOPPING
A lot of us are fond of online shopping , especially us Filipinos. Since it is more convenient, it is also hassle-free. More are being entice to purchase online when different platforms, like Lazada and Shoppee, have different promotions which offer big discounts and free shipping. But not all online sellers can be trusted. Some would trick buyers by posting a stuff they sell and provide information that are too enticing to buyers which would trick them to buy the said stuff and just like what they said, "If it is too good to be true then maybe it is." So before we click on that checkout button, double check the items first. Check the reviews if the items are good quality. Check also were the item comes from and check the price if the item is worth it. After you're done checking these things, then go on. Click on that checkout button.
Click baits
Some people are often scammed because of malicious emails. These emails would contain links that contains a phising software that would enable the sender to get details from the person who click the said link which they use in scamming. A very good example of this would be security emails of various banks or financial platforms, like PayPal that scammers would send to customers. The email would usually looks like this:
The blue link where it says, "Log in to confirm your account", is where the phising is link. Once the link is click and the person logged in to their account, the scammer would be able to get access into the account which would sometimes cause the account to be hacked. So before you click into anything, be sure that the email is not fraudulent. Usually, these platforms has a customer service hotline that you can call on to verify if the email sent is fraud or not. Remember, if you're not sure, don't click.
It may seem simple but one click might change everything. So be careful what you CLICK for!
I don't usually do shopping online but it's also good to take note of these things.
