Education and social and economic development are mutually exclusive. Investment in the education sector is also important for moving forward economically and socially.The experience of developed countries shows that the increase in income is related to the development of the education sector.In Pakistan, although this area has not received much attention for a long time, better planning is now underway to promote education.According to the 1951 census, the literacy rate in Pakistan is 16%, 45% in the 1998 census and the current literacy rate is around 50%, which is still low compared to some other developing countries.High literacy rates are essential for growth in economic growth.The government is taking education issues very seriously and keeping in view the mission of education for all, early education is being given much importance.The dream of educational development could be embarrassingly realized.
The government is working through various educational reforms in the field of education so that our national alphabet goes up and we also stand in the ranks of developed countries. The important steps in this regard are as follows:
1- Establishment of Higher Education Commission for promotion of higher education.
2- Implementing public-private partnership.
3- Providing compulsory and free education at primary level. 4- Ensuring free supply of text books for primary, middle and then high schools.
5- Restructuring the curriculum in view of scientific basis and future needs.
6- Cooperation with public and private sector for promotion of technical, vocational and scientific education. 7۔ And full encouragement. Improving the quality of education for social and economic development.
8 -Special focus on women's education.
9 - Providing scholarships to students for primary education.
10- Strives for gender balance in the field of education.
11. Pay special attention to women's educational institutions.
12 - Establishment of maximum number of public and private universities for higher education.
13 - Revolutionary efforts in the field of information technology.
14 - Establishment of Education Foundation for solving educational problems at strong and provincial levels. Efforts are being made to improve the merit and quality of education in education projects, but there is still a need to allocate more of the strong revenue to the education sector.
