I think the point that makes me the most happy about my work is to hear sincere and spontaneous comments from the people we work with about the coaching processes and their impact on their lives. I did a lot of research before I started professional coaching training, so I had an idea of what coaching is. I have to admit that I was actually wrong.
Since then I have been telling everyone I have spoken to about professional coaching that coaching is not a process that can be fully understood without experiencing it. In addition, I would like to mention what coaching is and the benefits of coaching for those who think that they may need such support in their life, but who do not know or are not sure what it is.
Based on my personal experience, I would like to share that the most important benefit of a coaching relationship is that it creates a space where the person can rest with curiosity, without judgment and sincerity. So much so that thinking aloud, questioning and sometimes having difficulties in this period when the focus is only on you will help you find the keys to many locks in the process. Einstein has a saying I love, "You cannot solve a problem with the level of consciousness that brought it up". Here, the coach's presence reflects you, makes you aware of your perspective and helps you change it if necessary.
First of all, we are witnessing the use of the title of coach in many different areas today. Sports teachers, nutrition consultants, people who give directions to people's hands in a certain area and follow them whether they do or not are even called coaches. However, the coaching I will talk about here will be professional coaching. On the other hand, ICF (International Coaching Federation) defines coaching as “a partnership relationship with the client in a creative process that inspires, encourages thinking, and is creative to maximize personal and professional potential, which is particularly important in today's uncertain and complex environments”.
You might say, what are we talking about in coaching sessions? To answer very simply, we are actually talking about whatever you want to talk about you and your life. For example; your dreams and goals you want to achieve, your obstacles on this path, how you can live your life happier, more balanced and fulfilled, your desire to reduce the chaos in your life and put it in order, a habit / habit that you do not like or disturb, when you think you are at the turning point, issues you cannot solve, decisions you cannot implement, relationships you want to fix. These are all issues that you can solve by getting coaching.
The holistic mentor plays an important role in the customers' self-improvement as well as in their own development. There will be tremendous changes in the individual's existence if it fully fits into the projects they plan clearly for their clients.
By helping the client to move his current situation forward in a healthy way and to make progress in all areas of his life, it guarantees the full disclosure of the possible resource in the individual.
In all everyday matters, individuals can have assumptions that they will come from time to time without monitoring their hidden capacity. The holistic mentor plays an important role in making this potential decision, just as empowering the individual to better design and exploit this potential for the future. However, the commitment of the holistic mentor is not limited to these. If there is no arrangement in the individual's current workplace or didactic design, the person in question draws a different path based on his current situation.
Obviously, a holistic mentor does not focus on the business life of the people who take over it. It can serve by evaluating the general situation of the client from a wide variety of perspectives, such as enthusiastic connections, daily life, educational life and efficient use of time.
Ultimately, the challenge is to fully assess the customer's current position and goals and to advance the current situation in the most ideal way in line with their goals. In this unique situation, the mentors make a comprehensive assessment and deliver the optimum result for the client in a short period of time.
In addition, mentors working vividly on hesitations empower the individual to decide on the best option by evaluating the issues they are indecisive. This assumes that it plays an important role in expanding selection tools. Therefore, they ensure the permanent development of the electoral system.
The more dynamic and persuasive the client is in friendly relations will intellectually help the client make further progress in the mentor's recommendations in his life. Therefore, it can be one of the tasks of the holistic mentor in research aimed at improving social relationships.
