It's another long day but I heard good news regarding the pandemic. So far, the current cases are down in our town, and the whole province. It is a sign of improvement, and may we gradually go back to our normal lives.

The national government is also starting to loosen the restrictions, and opening more of the industry. In fact, cinemas are already allowed to reopen but with restrictions towards moviegoers. Of course, Covid isn't over. It's still here so we have to be cautious. Vaccinated individuals are also at a high number, and I had my second dose done last September 2.

Meanwhile, I am back with freewriting. Through Random Word Generator, these are prompts for today:

Butterfly

There's so much symbolism with regards to butterflies. Even Mariah Carey has spread her wings like a butterfly through her song and album both called "Butterfly". That's the time when she had undergone separation from his husband, who is label executive. Time came when his ex-husband, who already got married with Thalia at that time, is still bitter that he sabotaged Mariah's career which led to the decline of the singer's sale. Eventually, she topped the charts again, and she doesn't have to prove herself because of her achievements.

Weapon

We are living in this era when wars are frequent. It may be peaceful elsewhere, but there are wars happening in other parts of the world. Too bad many civilians are dying, while refugees flee to other countries where they face discrimination. Whatever kinds of weapons used, innocent citizens are the most affected. Who's behind the powerful groups causing terror? Who are providing them weapons? There are a lot of questions unanswered. Do a powerful country really intervene to defeat the terrorists or a current leader of a certain country without any interest for themselves? Is there really good guys and bad guys between those behind those forces? Everything are vague. We don't surely know the entire story. What we are told may be just a tip of the iceberg, or even half-truths.

Qualified

I know someone working in a company for many years, and he never got promoted. Let's just call him under the name "Nate" (not the real name). Actually, he's very much qualified in a certain position but even newer employees are promoted ahead of him. Time came when the manager was replaced after some dishonest transactions he made. The new manager wanted to promote one of the employees, and he learned that Nate is one of the seniors. He checked each of the employees' qualifications, and Nate is the most deserving. Nate learned from one of the seniors that the former manager doesn't like him from the start because he knew him as one of the best employees. Eventually, Nate was finally promoted, something he waited for a long time.

Enjoy

After three months, I got to go back to the beach with my wife, and we invited our friend to come with us. We stayed at home, and never left home when my uncle passed away from Covid two months ago. Our neighbors are also tested positive Covid, in fact more than 5 individuals.

Of course, we walked from our house to the beach which is around half-kilometers. We enjoyed the fresh air. It is our first time after several weeks so we have to enjoy it. During the sunset, we headed back home but we decided to eat in a restaurant so we won't be cooking at home.

Hot

After the typhoon and rainy days, we're getting hot weather again. It might be normal due to our bodies got used to the low temperature during the rainy days. But we should be aware of the La Niña phenomenon which had just started in the country. It means we will get plenty of rain in coming days or weeks just in time with the winter season in northern hemisphere.
