I’m done playing it safe and abiding by the rules. I’ve waited far too long to let my heart and soul shine. I’ve been cooped up, kept down and repressed for so long, I almost forgot who I was. That ends now. I’m taking back my power and unleashing all of my beautiful vibrance. I’m not going to let anyone tell me what I can and can’t do anymore, because this is my life and my chance to shine brightly.. I’m refuse to hide who I am anymore or dull my sparkle because other people can’t handle me. They can step up or step aside, this is finally my time to fly high. The world tried to make me believe that I was less than I am and thought I would be okay with being ordinary. I’m done listening to the naysayers and the negativity, Because I’ve got one chance to live my life the way I choose, with no regrets, and I’m seizing that opportunity now. I’m not starting a new chapter, I’m throwing the old book away and rewriting a new story altogether. Forget the labels, the definitions and the permission of society to tell me what’s acceptable and okay, I’m just don’t care anymore. No one has walked my path and they weren’t there for my struggles, So why should I let anyone tell me how to shine? More than that, I’ve found my wings, broken out of my cage and I’m remembering all those forgotten dreams that once inspired me. Maybe I won’t change the world or do everything I want, but that doesn’t mean I won’t be all that I can, Chase my dreams with relentless optimism and reach for the stars every day. So, I’ve found my voice and seen my chance to become the best I can be.. Starting with today, no more apologies, excuses or settling. My day, my way, on my terms. Win or lose, rise or fall, rain or shine, I’ll either go down in flames or rise again like the fire.. The most beautiful part of it all.. Is that it’s all up to me.
