All my life, I had just wanted to be loved and accepted for just who I am. There were times when I didn’t even know what that meant, but I kept putting my heart out there trying to find that elusive thing called love. You encounter so many wrong ones along the way that you start to lose hope that you’ll find the right one. I knew how love was supposed to feel- or so I thought, but all the almosts and dead end loves didn’t ever make me feel the thing I had searched for..the indescribability and beauty of true love. Until you. You did what the others didn’t and saw past my pretty smile into the soulful depths of who I was at my core. Patiently, respectfully and carefully, you navigated past my walls and got to know the real me. You protected my heart, engaged my mind and appreciated me for all of my quirks, weirdness and unique charms..or at least, that’s what I like to call them. I didn’t have to tell you what I wanted or expected, because you just knew. Effortlessly, you were all the things I’d always wanted and even the beautiful qualities that I didn’t even know I needed. There’s no words amazing enough to describe how you love me, so I just settle for showing you, each and every day. I know you’re the one when people come up to me and say simply, “You look so happy..you’re almost glowing.” Because of you, they couldn’t be more right.
