The Convenience of a Dishwashing Machine

If there’s a washing machine which you wash your clothes, there’s also a dishwashing machine which you can wash your plates, glass, spoons and forks after eating. In a Filipino household, we don’t have this machine as we are used to do washing of the plates by hand.

When I arrived here in France, I really had no idea how to use it. Besides, the plates are very heavy so I was too lazy to transfer from the sink to the machine. I remember that in the Filipino household, we usually use plastic plates and cups. We only use the expensive plates and glass when there’s a special occasion. But in our French household, we use the wine glasses and the heavy plates.

It took me a while to learn how to use the machine. It takes me 30 minutes to transfer all the dishes to the machine. The washing will take 2 hours and 30 minutes.

While the machine is starting to work, it’s also the time to do something else. I clean the cooking stove, clean and mop the floor, and fold the clothes.

This is what I have done this afternoon as the sister in law and her husband are arriving tomorrow. Also, I did something for my son’s play area and set up the barriers. His toys are inside.

By the way, this afternoon, it was raining hail. Not rain water, nor snow. It’s like water droplets got frozen and fall to the ground. I wasn’t able to take photos as I was busy cleaning the kitchen area. It was cold outside as well.

The washing machine for clothes is continuous working as we have so many clothes to wash everyday. Thus, the never ending folding of clothes. I just rearranged the closet and put all the kids’ clothes inside.

I just remember that my MIL gave me a bag of baby clothes. I haven’t checked yet as I need to clean the house before I make another big mess.

Oh, I just realized I wasn’t able to take a photo of the roses my husband gave to me on my birthday.

While doing my home chores, I am also worried not earning my own money. I am thinking to get back to online job and search some part time work. I am not sure if I can get a big hourly rate since there are a lot of competitions these days.

I am sending a message to a client if he has some job for me. The rate is not big but it’s better than nothing. I just realized that there is an outstanding payment from the previous tasks.

Ugh, I’ve been overthinking too much. It’s actually 3:30 AM here so I need to sleep.
