My son is independent at 23 months old My Alexandre, my independent boy! He approached me to the bed, took my slippers on the floor and put it on my feet. "Where are we going Alexandre?" He led the way to the bathroom. He arranged the carpets on the floor. He took off his clothes and diaper. He put the clothes in the laundry area. He put the diaper in the bin. I helped him to the lavatory. He picked up his toothbrush and asked me to brush our teeth together. He is getting ready for a good night sleep.

Isn't he cute? Now, I'm wondering what were my achievements when I was 2 years old? I can't remember anything. My son is very observant. Growing up, this has been an every day chore of his mother and he decides to try doing it alone when he can. He loves to help us. He loves to do what the adults can do with the home chores. He even tries to help me putting the clothes in the washing machine. The other day, I was in the bed with Elise. Alexandre approached me and put the slippers on my feet. "What do you want me to do?" as I left Elise in the bed. He went back to the bed and made a noise that I should bring Elise. He led us to the table as the dinner was ready. Aww, so sweet my baby boy! Our son amazed me so much. A friend on FB made a comment that my son is mature at his young age. She already has a 4 year old son and no way his son has ever done the same thing as my son at 23 months. Again, I don't remember what I did when I was 2 years old. For sure, I wasn't allowed to do some things or I was just being a toddler and do nothing at all. Growing up, I was too lazy to do any home chores. My mom did all the house works. She would even reprimand me for not helping her. We are hands on parents and our son sees us doing something in the house. He can play independently. He wants to watch cartoons on YouTube. He is interested to do what we are doing. I am happy and I'm confident that he will such a great help in the house. May be, his father will teach him how to sort out the clothes for the washing machine. He is also learning his alphabets every now and then. He can't speak fluent yet but he can speak a few words. My son is trying to communicate with us even though he can't fully speak yet. I love you my Alexandre! He will be 2 years old in February. Love love love!
