Cash Incentives For Academic Scholars, No More?

ARTICLE NO. 153 OF 2022 TITLE: <Cash Incentives For Academic Scholars, No More?> DATE OF PUBLISHING: <NOVEMBER 27, 2022> It is such a major achievement to be distinguished as a "**scholar**." *Every students have the freedom to apply in such scholarship programs but not everyone were given a chance to be qualified. Therefore, it's a MUST to treasure this kind of opportunity. Why? Scholarship program/s won't always be open for application every day. So, it is indeed better to grab the chance & do our very best. Do good during the application and take the journey of being a scholar in a serious manner.* As a struggling college student, I'm doing my very best in order to secure the scholarship programs that I am qualified at. **How?** *By excelling in academics and attaining good to high numerical grades.* **How does it benefit me?** *" ... if I do good academically, rest assured that I'll still be able to renew my scholarships on the following semesters until I finish my degree. Additionally, I can use this in my advantage upon applying to other programs."* It's similar to the idiomatic expression of: "**I'm hitting two birds with one stone**" which means *achieving two things by executing a single action.* In my recent article entitled as: "**My Pending Scholarship Allowance | "PhP 25,300.00 ($441.81)"**", I had briefly narrated my journey in acquiring multiple scholarships. https://read.cash/@imanagrcltrst/my-pending-scholarship-allowance-php-2530000-44181-a7e7d466

Aside from the **efforts & energy** that I had invested during the application, I also spent **untraceable amount of** **money** which comes from my own pockets. Not to brag but yes, *sariling sikap talaga lahat.* And, what did I get in return? Well, I already reaped off multiple big outcomes & was continuously harvesting its sprouting fruits. 🤎 One out of my four (4) scholarships, I have already claimed thousands worth of allowance. As of now, I am currently waiting for the other 3/4 scholarship allowances. "**Unclaimed allowances**" are as follows: **PhP 20,000.00 ($349.29)** - *Vicente B. Bello Scholarship Program;* **PhP 2800.00 ($48.90)** - *Academic Scholarship; and* **PhP 2500.00 ($43.66)** - *City Government Scholarship.* Summing up these numbers, its approximately around twenty-five thousand pesos. Gosh! It's undeniably a big amount. **However, I have been consistently thinking of this certain question:** "*When can I receive my cash incentive for being a Academic Scholar [specifically, College Scholar] last second semester of A.Y. 2021-2022 (based on grades obtained from 1st semester of AY 2021-2022)"?* *In order to be distinguished as an "******Academic Scholar******" we, students must fulfill any of the following GWA shown below:* **President's Lister** - *1.24 and below;* **University Scholar** - *1.25 to 1.44;* **College Scholar** - *1.45 to 1.74; and* **Dean's Lister** - *1.75 to 2.00* Upon attaining any of these GWA in every semester, we [University Scholars and College Scholars] will receive cash incentives by which the amount depends on the units we have taken. On the contrary, Dean's Listers don't receive incentives aside from the distinction. Meanwhile, I ain't sure if President's Listers receives such amount of cash. Supposedly, we should receive the cash incentives for the second semester of A.Y. 2021-2022 around October. Apparently, it didn't go that way. We're near to December but still, the incentives weren't yet disposed. *We are still hoping for it to be dispersed anytime soon, not until the* *CLSU Supreme Student Council* *posted an update last night with a headline of:* https://www.facebook.com/1097224403649193/posts/pfbid0vG4gkDrA5q2ye4Z5DfaH78WixrRGcX3KBoPDdje3RifeChfhfYmYVaG82HKFQ6j5l/?mibextid=Nif5oz **UPDATE:** CLSU to release only 34% of institutional scholars’ incentives for 2nd semester of AY 2021-2022, according to the university’s Financial Management Services.

Instead of distributing 100% of the cash incentives to every institutional scholars, the university will just be giving it out to only 34% of the overall count of scholars. **The reason for cutting out the benefits?** ... *Conflict in the allocation of the budget.* The university needs **₱18,242,985.00** to cater every scholars. Unfortunately, only **₱6,270,000.00** were constituted. Hence, more than 60% of the scholars won't no longer receive their supposedly incentives. CLOSING THOUGHTS *Well, the reason is clearly understandable. However, I am just hoping that I'll be listed in that 34%. That cash incentive is surely a big help to me, financially. Especially now that I am really in need of money for my F2F budget. Please, G! Allow me to receive this incentive. *crossed fingers** *For more chitchats, feel free to reach me out via:* noise.cash: **imanagrcltrst** https://noise.cash/u/imanagrcltrst noise.app: **imanagrcltrst** https://noise.app/imanagrcltrst Hive (PeakD): **Futureagrcltrst** https://peakd.com/@futureagrcltrst *Or communicate with me in my socials:* Twitter: **IMANAGRCLTRST** https://twitter.com/imanagrcltrst?t=5ednteT5fBXJdnBBAQtrcw&s=09 Telegram: **IMANAGRCLTRST** https://t.me/imanagrcltrst Discord: **Imanagrcltrst**
