Giving is an activity that brings peace, joy and happiness and what better time dong it at Christmas time
I have been inviting poor kids since the year 1998 at various locations including our own house for parties that always had a Santa, music, dance, food and last but not the least games
In the last few years I also started inviting seniors from an old age home for similar parties and one where both the kids and seniors were present were the best even I can say.
Kids do not have their parents with them and seniors do not have their grand children. Watching them mingling with each other made my day.
I had bought some hair bow clips which the seniors had to pin on the kids' hair which they did with a lot of affection
The kids teased the seniors playing with the ball. There were countless balls that I had spread on the floor which the kids picked up the moment they entered the house
Last couple of years and now this year not much could be done, due to the pandemic Kids have gone home from the Institute and may not have returned Last year and the year before I gifted the Old Age Home with a music system and a tv and had low key celebrations.
This year there will be lunch, Santa with gifts and high tea with some games and music.
Hope to make it a grand even next year all going well
