When you come in conflict with the things that your church leader is telling you, what should you do?
First, pray first that you will be guided by the Holy Ghost. I don't mean to be so simplistic but we are ready gathered in His name, can't we first ask His guidance? I think that should come first.
Second, evaluate first the truth value of the said thing. Even if it will take you time as long as you reflect upon it. If not, why not clarify your side? After all he or she should have accountability of what he or she is saying.
Third, think if your reaction is biased. Are you just reacting because it has a pinch on your being? Of your personal circumstances?
Fourth, be friendly. Don't be like those intellectuals who will fight just to prove their point. Sometimes, it is better to lose so you may have won the game.
In general, don't ever start a fight. Even arguments should be presented respectfully. Don't undermine your seniors.
Always be guided by Him. Pray always that you may be enlightened of everything you do.
We are all equally just searchers for truth and we are at the mercy of the Lord for always.
In our search for truth let us not forget our dignity and moral values and attitudes.
Don't hurt others deliberately.
Lastly, in our search for truth let us approach things with an open mind, body and soul.
