This time I will share the traditional recipes of my country, hopefully friends can try to make it and enjoy the unique taste of these dishes.

Tofu petis is a typical Semarang city snack in the form of fried tofu eaten with a paste (a thick black sauce usually made from shrimp) which is spread or inserted in the middle of the tofu.

Like tofu pong, but the taste is not salty, which comes from white tofu that is fried until brown without being seasoned or seasoned with a solution of salt and garlic alone. While the petis taste sweet a little bit salty. In order to arouse the taste of tofu, it is usually eaten with cayenne pepper.

The uniqueness of this product is in the shrimp-based shrimp paste which is mixed with special spices to produce ready-to-eat shrimp paste that smells good and doesn't sting. Combined with fresh and crunchy tofu to add to its deliciousness. The following is a recipe for typical Semarang paste tofu:

Ingredients of Petis Tofu:

Tofu 4 pieces

1 tablespoon shrimp paste

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 segment of galangal

3 cloves of garlic

1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce

enough water

tapioca flour to taste

Salt to taste

pepper to taste

How to Make Tofu Petis:

1. Fry tofu until cooked, remove and drain

2.Miss the garlic, and galangal until it tastes good, add brown sugar, soy sauce, salt, pepper and paste, stir until smooth and add a little water

3. Put tapioca flour into the sauce, stir until blended

4. Mix the fried tofu and pour the paste sauce

5. Tofu petis ready to be served
