Prolific
Prolific is my favourite money making site. They run academic surveys that promise to pay more than £5 per hour, so no 10 minute surveys for 12p like other sites.
Minimum payout: £5
Pros:
Pay very well
Good customer service
Lots of bonuses from surveys
No screen-outs
Cons:
Surveys are infrequent (I recommend a Chrome extension)
Testable Minds
Similar to Prolific in many ways. Good to use when there aren't any Prolific studies available. You are available to take more studies if you're a 'Verified Mind' - i.e. You send them a picture of your ID.
Minimum Payout: £20
Pros:
Pay very fairly
Cons:
Not many studies
High payout threshold
TopCashback (UK Only)
Arguably not a Beermoney site, but it has saved me over £100 in the last couple of months. Basically, if you want to buy something online, click through to the website through them. They earn a commission based on how much you spent, and give you a chunk of it. At the moment, there's also a £5 sign up bonus for new members if you use a referral link.
Minimum Payout: None
Pros:
Cashback available through most websites
Completely free to use
Essentially free money
No minimum payout
Cons:
Not all sites offer cashback, although most do
Ipsos I-Say
An essential survey site by a well-established company that pays rather well. They also often run app-testing projects and product tests too! (I just did an app test where I used an app every day for a week and got £40!)
Minimum Payout: £5
Pros:
5p - 25p bonuses for every screen-out
Plenty of surveys
Fast earner
Bonus high-paying projects
Cons:
Screen-outs happen
MTurk
Okay. This one's controversial. MTurk is run by Amazon, and it pays you to do a wide variety of things, like 'Draw a box around each car', 'Transcribe this sign' or 'Do this survey'. You can only get paid in amazon.com
credit (not gift cards), that are non-redeemable on the amazon.co.uk store though. However, it's worth the time if you're willing to pay the shipping fees, provided you're accepted, of course...
Minimum payout: None
Pros:
No minimum payout
Huge amounts of work available
Cons:
Hard to get accepted
Big shipping fees
No customer support (so beware of dodgy requesters)
Poll Pay
This is actually my biggest earner; over £400 so far. However, the overwhelming majority of this came from almost 9000 (!) referrals. The app is pretty standard in terms of the surveys it gives you, but it has very good payout options.
Minimum payout: £5
Pros:
Lots of surveys
Multiple payment methods
Good customer support
Sign-up bonus
Cons:
Doesn't pay as well as some of the others
Screen outs happen
Referral code (for £0.19 bonus): FZZ9PFN
Upvoice
This is a passive browser extension that pays you for looking at your social media ads. You get a free £5 start-up bonus too, which is nice!
Minimum payout: £10
Pros:
Passive earnings
Does not affect your browsing at all
Cons:
Slowish earnings
ref (need this for £5 bonus) | non-ref
I hate those survey sites. Nice list by the way.
