The Sydney 2000 Paralympic Medallion program is a partnership between the Royal Australian Mint and The Perth Mint.

The boxed set comprises one gold plated, one silver plated and one antique bronze medallion, each of which is a miniature replica of the Sydney 2000 Paralympic Games Victory Medal.

The Sydney 2000 Paralympic Games Victory Medals, on which these replica medallions are based, were designed by the Australian-born Dr Stuart Devlin, A.O. C.M.G. The actual Victory Medals are 70mm in diameter, have a ribbon attachment, and also feature a plate on the obverse for the event and the winner's name.

The reverse design features the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House surrounded by images of seven of the Paralympic sports venues. The obverse design depicts the logos of the Sydney Paralympic Organising Committee and the International Paralympic Committee.

Dr Devlin has designed coins for thirty-six countries, including Australia's original decimal currency and the precious metal coin of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Coin Collection. He has a Royal Warrant of Appointment as Goldsmith and Jeweller to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

5000 set is issued for the medallion.
