SRK Borneo noodle house black sauce wan tan mee

Today dinner, I revisit SRK Borneo noodle house to try out another dish. This restaurant specializes in Sarawak dishes, highly recommend you visit it if you ever pass by Desa Setapak.

After looking at the menu, I order the black sauce wan tan mee which is sold at RM10.90 per bowl.

Interestingly, in Sarawak, wan tan is known as "flat meat" in Fuzhou Sarawak. "Wan tan" word is from Cantonese words. Wan tan is commonly served boiled or deep-fried. In Sarawak, it is often served dry which is mixed with fried shallot oil and pig oil with some special sauces like black soy sauce or char siu sauce.
