Scotti Risotto Alla Milanese

For today breakfast, I have Scotti Risotto Alla Milanese. Risotto is a northern Italian rice dish cooked with broth until it reaches a creamy consistency. Risotto Alla Milanese is also known as Saffron Risotto because of the yellow colour due to Saffron.

Saffron is a spice derived from the flower of Crocus sativus, commonly known as the "saffron crocus". The vivid crimson stigma and styles, called threads, are collected and dried for use mainly as a seasoning and colouring agent in food. Saffron is the world's costliest spice by weight.

The dish takes me around half an hour instead of 12 minutes like what the instruction on the pack stated to cook.
