Today lunch I visit Oriental Landmark, a restaurant specializing in fine Cantonese cuisine, it is located at the Intermark Mall if you ever what to visit it.

This time I order their steamed rice with pork belly and shrimp paste. After including the service tax, the total cost is RM19.70 per dish.

Shrimp paste is a fermented condiment commonly used in Southeast Asian and Southern Chinese cuisines. It is primarily made from finely crushed shrimp or krill mixed with salt, and then fermented for several weeks. In Malaysia, a lot of meals use shrimp paste. The type of shrimp paste used for this dish is likely Belacan, a Malay variety of shrimp paste.

I like how they served the dish, it is served in a hot clay bowl to keep it warm longer while you eat it.
