Felda's 50-Year Commemorative Coin was launched on July 7, 2006, in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of Federal Land Development Authority (FELDA). These commemorative coins highlight the role and great contribution of FELDA in improving the living standards and quality of settlers.
This coin also paid tribute to the founder, Tun Abdul Razak bin Dato 'Hussein, the second Prime Minister of Malaysia, better known as the father of development, for his contributions to national and rural development. Bank Negara Malaysia issued three types of commemorative coins; RM1 nordic gold coins, RM10 silver proof coins, and RM100 gold proof coins. All the coins are legal tender in Malaysia.
The commemorative coins are minted and packed by The Royal Mint of Malaysia.

Front designs show the hands of FELDA settlers, whose efforts support FELDA's ambitions to market their products to the global marketplace. It describes the world as a FELDA market, contained in a drop liquid stemming from the development of commodities by FELDA, symbolized by the foliage of palm oil and rubber that is exploring this coin. The rear design features the portrait of the founder of FELDA, the late Tun Abdul Razak bin Dato 'Hussein.
