This Commemorative medal of the Japanese Victory over Singapore was sold for SGD2200(RM6500), not including other tax.
Let's learn some history about it.
Before the outbreak of the Pacific War, the Japanese military already had planned to conquest and occupy Singapore on 11 February 1942, coinciding with the anniversary of the Coronation of Japan's first Emperor in 660 B.C. and the founding of the Japanese Empire. Their schedule was disclosed to the Axis Alliance quarters in Berlin. The Germans produced a porcelain medal to commemorate the Japanese victory. However, Singapore fell to the hand of the Japanese military on 15th February 1942 due to fierce resistance from some brave army who refuse to surrender. The most famous is the 1st Malaya Infantry Brigade during the Battle of Pasir Panjang.

The obverse has an embossed circumscription in German meant "The capture of Singapore ", featuring a lion standing beneath a coconut tree. On the reverse, the German circumscription means " Great East Asia Freed of Foreign Dominion", symbolized by a wreath encircling Japanese battle ensign. Base on Dickson's new personally measuring the medal it is 5 cm. in diameter and 0.5cm. thick.
