Today dinner, I have it at this restaurant called Little Penang Kafe. It is located on the 4th floor of KLCC Suria Mall, it specializes in Penang cuisine.
This time I come here because I feel like eating otak otak, they sell the otak otak at RM13.50 per plate. This price is before including the service tax.
Otak-otak, which literally translates as "brains" in Malay languages, is a Southeast Asian fish cake made of groundfish meat mixed with spices and wrapped into leaf parcels. Otak-otak is traditionally served fresh, encased within the leaf parcel it is cooked in and can be eaten solely as a snack or with steamed rice as part of a meal.
In Singapore and southern Malaysia, the reddish-orange or brown color of its contents is acquired from chili, turmeric, and other spices.
Just beware that when you order this otak otak, it doesn't come with a bowl of rice. I order the rice separately to eat with the otak otak.
