For today's dinner, I visit the KLCC Suria Mall food court to try out this food stall called Ken-Chan Curry. This stall have an unusual way of promoting it's food by making a lot of food model and putting it at the counter, they do have a paper menu if you prefer to use that. I have never seen restaurants use that many food models, I mean I do see some do this but never this many. This stall's main selling thing is their Japanese curry.
For those who don't know about Japanese curry, it is commonly served in three main forms: curry rice, curry udon, and curry bread. It is one of the most popular dishes in Japan. The very common "curry rice" is most often referred to simply as "curry". Along with the sauce, a wide variety of vegetables and meats are used to make Japanese curry. The basic vegetables are onions, carrots, and potatoes. Beef, pork, and chicken are the most popular meat choices. Katsu-karē is a breaded deep-fried cutlet with Japanese curry sauce.
After looking at all the food models, I decided to order the Omelet beef curry rice. It is priced at RM16 for regular size and RM21 for large size.
When it served, it look like the model. You can't expect the beef to be at the center since it is not flat.
