After my dinner at the Vietnamese restaurant in the Pavillion Mall, I am thinking of having some dessert. I saw this IPPUDO restaurant, a Japanese ramen restaurant chain. I decided to go and check what sort of dessert they sell.
Here are some pictures of the restaurant.
After looking at their menu, I order the daifuku, ice cream-filled Japanese mochi served with strawberry and lemon slices. In case you don't know, daifuku actually means "great luck" in Japanese. After including the service tax, the total cost for it is RM13.90.
Here are pictures of the Daifuku when served, it seems like the strawberry is replaced with orange. I love the idea of putting the ice cream-filled mochi on a slice of lemon. It served 2 purposes, first is to make sure the mochi doesn't stick to the plate making it easier to clean. The second is with you try to cut the mochi into smaller pieces, the lemon juice will come out and enhance to mochi taste.
