Background
When the Japanese Army conquer Malaya during WW2, the Japanese Army force all the locals to exchange 1 Malaya dollar for 1 Japan Invasion Money (JIM) dollar.
Because when the army requirer some money, the Japanese simply just printed more notes. The notes experience hyperinflation.
When the Japanese army was losing the war, the Malaya black market exchange emerges due to the possibility of the British not exchanging the JIM dollar to Malaya dollar when they return. The exchange went as high as 33,000 JIM dollars to 1 Malaya dollar.
The calculation
From what I read, it seems like a meal before world war 2 is around a quarter cent.
Assuming today eating a meal outside costs RM10 OR 2.5 USD.
The calculation will be like this:
In ringgit : 33,000 x 4 x 10 = RM1,320,000
In dollar : 33,000 x 10 = $330,000
bitcoin at $330,000 is possible
I know my inflation calculation is not that accurate but it should be around there.
At that time, a Malaya dollar is like bitcoin. the money that will take over the JIM dollar.
Those who hold the Malaya dollar despite the risk of getting kill will found themselves 33,000 richer than those who exchange their Malaya dollar for the JIM dollar.
If history were to repeat itself, I think bitcoin touching $330,000 really possible.
