Today I don't feel like eating much since I have a fried rice which is a heavy meal for lunch, so I visit the Din Tai Fung in KLCC Suria Mall. Din Tai Fung is a Chinese restaurant from Taiwan that specializes in Chinese Huaiyang cuisine, they are known internationally for their paper-thin wrapped xiaolongbao with 18 folds.
This time I seat near the window that has some nice view out there.
After looking at the menu, I order 6 pieces of their vegetarian mushroom dumpling, the total cost is RM16.95 after including the service tax. The dumpling skin green colour comes from spinach juice.
For those who don't know what Dumpling is, it is a broad class of dishes that consist of pieces of dough wrapped around a filling, or of dough with no filling. The dough can be based on bread, flour, or potatoes, and may be filled with meat, fish, cheese, vegetables, fruits, or sweets. Dumplings may be prepared using a variety of methods, including baking, boiling, frying, simmering, or steaming, and are found in many world cuisines.
