After having that delicious prawn roe wanton noodles, I was having a walk around the Pavillion Mall and came across this Al-Amar, a Lebanese restaurant.
While checking out their menu dessert section, I saw this Baklava which I never tried before. I went in to order it to try out, it cost RM18.55 after including the service tax.
According to Wikipedia, Baklava is a layered pastry dessert made of filo pastry, filled with chopped nuts, and sweetened with syrup or honey. The sweet pastries' origin is from Ottoman cuisine.
it is a now common dessert of Iranian, Turkish, and Arab cuisines, and other countries of the Levant and Maghreb, along with the South Caucasus, Balkans, and Central Asia.
The Al-Amar Baklava is supposed to only come in 6 pieces, not sure why there are 8 pieces. Either way, it is an interesting experience for me in trying something different.
