I respond to the pace of life by slowing myself down

In this article, I would like to talk about the pace of life, the feeling of being exhausted at the end of the day by trying to keep up with everything, the feeling of being stuck on us when we think it is not enough no matter what we do.

When speed comes from within, if we slow down, what does this create in our lives? Wouldn't it be nice if we didn't blame ourselves for having lots of things we couldn't keep up to do again, or if we didn't feel inadequate?

In the last few years, everything has accelerated so much that even the stories we uploaded to social media start to age and disappear in twenty four hours as soon as they are shared, it is quite clear that we feel this strain on our shoulders.

When we wake up in the morning, we have the confidence that we have a whole day ahead and that we can train what we will do, while many things you cannot do before you go to sleep may come to mind and even make you sleepy. Even though the fact that many people are not going to work in the pandemic has given them the time they spend on the road, I see that we have found many alternatives to fill this gap in one way or another. Actually, I think the issue here is deeper.

Most of the time, we may be convinced that we are far behind what we need to complete. This can cause us to panic, develop anxiety, and even fear. We try to close the gap in haste, or we watch the gap widen by delaying constantly without doing anything.

At this point, we react to the situation we are in in both options. Either we try to train what we need to do with reaction, saying, or even in panic, or we take a reactive stance by going to the opposite end, doing nothing. When we choose the first option, we keep running around because we try to go back to that area where we feel safe, at whatever point it is for us, to hold that area. Unfortunately, it is not easy to get rid of the lie of "the more, the better" that the systems are based on.

Doing too many things in a short time does not always produce good results. By slowing down, we get the chance to take more effective actions, because trying to keep up with everything can sometimes cause us to spend more energy on that task than usual, and even time. Under this state of intense pressure and panic, the things we tell ourselves to do can often be things we shouldn't do.

So in this cycle, we keep running like a hamster. At this point, we see that the only thing that will break this cycle is a state of conscious slowing down. When we slow down, we can hear our surroundings and ourselves more clearly. There may be moments when we experience that we extend or even extend time. You may experience some unfolding about what you are doing. You can bring a different perspective to your work you do by heart, in speed.

In most cases, we can get the feeling that the slowdown is going back, falling back. However, I think what we are doing here is to slow down and take a glance at the spinning wheel. For this reason, it is important that we give ourselves time and not be impatient to get used to the slowdown we have recently experienced. This can sometimes be disappointing for the people around us. We may get reactions that we do not have enough motivation, that we are indifferent or even take our word, and they can be quite sad.

However, it has been observed that slowing down has many positive effects on our lives, jobs, careers and relationships. Namely: It has been noticed that we can develop effective communication by speaking more clearly and less, our listening capacity has increased, and we can express what we pass through instead of speaking impulsively. Slowing down allows us to have different perspectives and make choices that are good for us in the long run, as it gives us the opportunity to look at our situation from afar. It enables us to let go of the things that do not serve us in life, and to proceed in a focused way by identifying clearer tools.

When we slow down, it is as if an internal control mechanism is activated and gives us the opportunity to observe whether we are in harmony with our goal at any moment and to make the necessary changes. In addition to all this, it is essential to slow down in order to keep our energy and enthusiasm at the same level as we move towards our goals.

I couldn't agree more. People often forget that we have our own timelines. She can buy a car at age 25, I can buy a house maybe at 40. It doesn't matter; we have our own paths to walk, and our own pace to follow.

Taking a rest from a hustle life is beneficial too. It makes us appreciate the progress we make little by little.

Of course, time can flow at different speeds for everyone.
