The most important thing after faith is prayer. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was repeatedly urged by Allaah to pray. In the Qur'an, Allah Almighty has mentioned the importance of prayers by mentioning the word Salat 72 times in different places.
That is why the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) placed prayers after Iman. Numerous hadiths have been narrated in front of the Companions about the importance and benefits of prayers. One of them is-
Narrated from Hazrat Abdullah Ibn Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) he said: I asked the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him): (O Messenger of Allah!) Which is the most beloved deed to Allah? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, 'Prayer.' (Bukhari and Muslim)
