Philodendron plant.

I hope you meet this beautiful plant. Decorate my garden with its precious leaves. It is actually very easy to maintain and anyone can have one of these plants at home.

Its scientific name is Philondendron Erubescens. It’s native to Africa.

It’s a plant with leaves in the shape of a lance or elongated heart. It has dark green leaves when it is adult, but when they start to emerge from their stem which is purple, the leaf is bright red.

The stem, being a climbing plant, becomes tortuous as it grows. At first it’s upright but later it needs a tutor (that is, a wooden stick or something similar that the plant grabs to support itself) to continue climbing and then joins the tutor with its abundant aerial roots.

It likes to receive the clarity of the sun but not direct sun exposure because its leaves will burn. Its substrate must keep moisture in it but not waterlogging.

We can put some water spray on its leaves to keep them dust-free and shiny.

It’s a very beautiful ornamental plant to beautify the garden. All it’s the colors on its leaves and on its stem together with the brightness of the leaves makes it very decorative and gives a wooded tone to the environment.

One tip when placing the tutor is to add moss and to also put a little moisture on the tutor and the roots so that they adhere better to it. The roots will bond tightly to the tutor.

To reproduce this plant, cut a small stem from it and plant it in a pot with a substrate with abundant organic fertilizer. It can also be reproduced by taking the small stem that we cut and placing it in water for approximately 15 days. After this time the stem will have several roots and we can sow in a pot with the appropriate substrate.

All photos are of my property and were taken with my Samsung mini s3 phone.

Wonderful. If you cared for it with water, this plant is very hardy.

Well the area she planted it was pretty rainy so i don't think she'll need to worry about watering it much
