Evil people are always on the lookout!
Who would have known, that there are other people lurking at your backyard every late at night? You're trusting so much at your home's safety, you'd never thought that the danger would come to you anytime. I'm gonna share one of the documentaries I've watched, which is, of course, based on true events. And what do I enjoy most about watching documentaries? We are being warned about all of the risks that may occur to us, as well as the advice they provide.
"Evil People Lurking at the Backyard"
Riza was a very independent woman, she definitely can look out of herself all time. The City where she lived was a very unique, wealthy and quiet community. There was such a safe little towers that you wouldn't have to lock your doors. She was in a very good place and she was very happy. She knew everyone in the neighborhood and everyone knew her. She loves everything, she loves to give and been given. She was very proud of what she had. Her house was wider than the other house, about 30-40 yards. The security at her house was very relaxed. In short, she never had enough security systems and it doesn't make any sense, everyone knew her in that City. The other part of her house was being rented like an apartment for a little income. Ted, the tenant of Riza moved in there and they became friends. He treated him like a family. He was a quiet guy, good tenant and never had an issue.
"They've Got a Wrong Person and a Wrong House"
In 2012, Ted's mother had passed. He received an inheritage check for $30,000. At that time, he wasn't have a personal account and he was trying to figure out if he invest it or spend it. Everyone in the town knew it and no one expected that it would be caused so much trouble that will lead to a crime. At that summer, that place was very hot. So, Riza had to drink all the time and went at the backyard oftentimes. At night the backyard was a little spooky, would definitely hears moaning things. You can hear the trees and animals that aren't used to. There's things banging and hitting doors. That night, his son arrived. His son told her it wasn't him. She was kind of blow up, maybe that was a neighbor's dog, a raccoon or something else.
A week later, his friend Dan moved in into her guest room. Dan's family died in a plane crash. That's why he needed a place to stay. At that time, he arrived with his 3 travelling bags and in the bags was all his personal stuff. A few days later, Riza's son arrived from work. But he has to go to immediately. At 6:30 pm, he leaves. Dan was arrived also at that time but he decided to get into his room to watch a ball game. He shut the door, and after shutting the door, he couldn't hear things in any part of the house. Then he turned on his television a quite loud. Since his hearing was lost, he couldn't hear other things at that time.
That night, those people lurking in the backyard came out. When the shot gun put on Riza's neck, she wasn't feel scared because she thought it was just a joke. But when the two men asked for the money, she was shocked because she didn't know anything what money they're talking about. She realized it wasn't joke anymore, it was for real. On the night that was Riza attacked on her home, Dan on the guest room didn't hear anything.
When the two guys talked about the inheritance money, Riza realized that the two guys missed up and that's really a big mistake, a wrong person and a wrong house. Riza was trying to negotiate hoping that in a way they would leave her but it didn't. While the two guys yelling, screaming and forcing Riza to give them the inheritance money, finally, Dan heard it. Dan started thinking that there was no commotions happened in that house ever. So he went there to check what's really going on. When he came to Riza's house, he saw the two masked guys. The one guy pointing the gun on Riza and the other guy was hitting Riza. They got Dan too.
The two men were getting too angry because Riza was telling them that they're wasting time, there were no safe. Since Dan was an army officer, he was trying to calm and handle the situation. As he evaluated the situation, there was nothing he can do anymore. When the guys cut out the telephone wire, Riza knew she was in danger. She ran out at the back door. The backyard was dark, it has woods. She thought that she could go to the woods and could get some help. Unfortunately, the other guy shot her. At that moment, Dan was terrified because he thought Riza was.dead and he felt so helpless. Dan thought that they're not gonna let him live. But when he told them that there was a guy next door, they jumped over and ran out the door.
When the two guys left the door, Dan ran out and looked after Riza. and he didn't seen her. So, he realized that Riza wasn't dead. Yes, she's not dead. She fought the fear, got up and got help. Finally, the police arrived. Based on the police investigation, the two guys heard about the inheritage money which Ted brought to Riza's house. They planned the robbery that's why they were in the backyard every night.and waiting for the right time. The two men got caught and jailed.
Ted: " If you have much money, never brag it. Better keep it by yourself for your own safety".
Riza: "I'm not happy with the two young men put in jail. For what happened to me, I hope this would give a lesson to all young people who are wasting their life instead of giving hope to all young men like them".
That's the lesson that I always bear in mind. Never told anyone that you have money because you can't trust anyone in regards of that matter.
