A Message to All the Dreamers Out There

Do you ever feel like everything is going on a different rhythm compared to yours? Do you feel time is passing faster than it was before and maybe the things you have been wanting to do has not become realized until now?

I can tell you, it is not a choice. Every dream has its hardships and we cannot help ourselves but get used to it.

Every day counts. And it's very regrettable that many of us don't really understand what it means. These are the days in our life where we can do the things that really matter towards the fulfillment of our goals and dreams in life. Every day we wake up, say how boring was yesterday and complain how bad was today without seeing how precious they actually were.

We all have dreams that we want to achieve. We see the potential in ourselves and feel the drive to make us think that nothing is impossible in this world. When we wake up in the morning, we try to do something new and different. During at night, we try to reflect on our actions and identify some things that needs to be changed. However, the combination of work, school and family leaves us with very little time to give to what we really desire to do. We often face insurmountable challenges that force us to decide between following our dreams and settling for something easier.

I've been through a time of uncertainty where I have struggled to find my step, it seemed that the beliefs that supported me at one time had become fragile and felt no more than a fantasy. I always thought that college was going to be a breeze. I would dream about it, thinking of all the fun things I would be able to do. Then I realized there were some serious challenges ahead of me, and I knew I had to face them head-on. There were ups and downs. There were tiring days and restless nights. Things went rough. It was a rollercoaster ride. I am always being pushed to the limit. In fact, it often feels like the universe is pushing back against me, like I can't make any progress no matter how hard I try. I have experienced a lot during this phase, but I decided to hold on, endure, not to give up and see how the current situation would progress. I know in my heart that this dream—this path—is more than just about me. And at that moment, by chance or luck, when everything just seemed to be completely out of control and without solutions in sight, a ray of light was shone on me as I found answers that would help me move forward in life.

This dream of mine is not only for me but for my siblings and parents, who are still depending on me for support because they believe in me, and they trust that I can achieve all these. It's for my future family—the family I want to give a life of comfort and security one day.

YES! Sometimes, all we need is inspiration for all the changes we are about to make, just to keep our dream on track. That is why every day is so precious and has to be used properly if we want to turn our dreams into reality. In fact, we need to be more efficient in the way we are doing. We cannot allow what we are already doing get lost among other things that make us lose our focus and forget our true mission in life. We have to find a balance between everything and focus on the things that really matter - never giving up, and always moving forward. Because if others can handle it, then so can we. They were people. Not superheroes or geniuses—just regular people who worked hard and didn't quit when things got tough.

I am lucky enough to have more reasons than challenges for pursuing my dream, but I know not everyone is so lucky. For them, I want to say this: You are valuable, you are loved, and you are worth it. Your dreams may seem too big or impossible right now, but that's just because you're still dreaming about them—you haven't made them real yet. Just put your head down and work hard. Keep your eyes focused on your goal, even if you can only see a little bit of it at a time.

And when those challenges come up again, remember why you started in the first place, and then ask yourself: Why would I give up? Always remember that when there seems to be no way, God will always make a way.
