Earth limited resources.
This big island that we know as planet Earth is our home and our mother because this planet is the only place where humans can live together with other living beings. Our home is a big island that seems so big at first glance, but in reality, our planet has a size and limited resources. You may not think of it as such, but even size is a resource on planet Earth.
Not every part of our planet can sustain life. It is a place where life exists in abundance, and that space within the Earth is also a resource. After all, arable land is a resource with a limited supply. There is only so much land that humans can use to grow food, build houses, and sustain our way of living without forgetting that we must also share that space with others. More and more humans are invading the territories that belong to natural places where wild animals live, contributing to climate change.
The reality of how humans live and almost all living beings is that we need land, water, minerals, and resources to continue living and thriving. Still, we humans with our intelligence have built empires disregarding the environment to the point that we have become the toe boiling slowly in water. We are already 7 billion souls on this planet and probably will add another billion soon in a few years.
We have reproduced thanks to our technology and ability to adapt to new environments. Still, Earth can only provide for so long before the whole ecosystem crumbles because of excess exploitation. And humanity is too busy working as debt enslaved people to realize the problem, and the elites are too busy exploiting us to care about the environment. For example, governments will be damn if the environment dies. They would rather have more citizens to tax and put those same citizens as collateral for their next central bank loans.
The environmental impact humans are having on this planet is significant, and we are busy consuming resources and changing the environment because of our daily activities. The burning of energy, after all, leaves scars on the planet's surface. The contamination does not just come from our industries, but everything that humans build in a way produces contamination to the Earth. It is not just about burning coal to produce energy. Is it not just about the roads and the cars contaminating the air? As an organism, our activities to live to create contamination because we consume resources.
Governments won't accept overpopulation because they need numbers to continue growing, collect taxes, and ask for more loans. Governments won't admit they have a population problem because they have new young people working to pay the bills of older people. Governments won't accept that our economy is a Ponzi scheme that needs new people buying assets so that the whole bubble doesn't collapse, and that is for all markets that include as well cryptocurrencies.
But nature, at the end of the day, will solve the problem at some point. We have managed to curve nature thanks to our intelligence. Still, eventually, we will meet the same faith that other organisms have had in the past. When a living being overpopulates an area beyond the capacity of Earth to produce food, that living organism dies of starvation.
In case you haven't noticed, the industrial revolution brought us new technology, which we have used to produce more food, and now we are in the green process, trying to build our food more sustainably. Some farmers cultivate soldier flies in the US because their larvae are enormous and can be fed to chickens and fish once processed. So we are trying to find ways to give new food resources to our food, and that is why you are hearing that red meat is bad for the environment because cows only eat plants, and growing red meat is a costly and taxing endeavor for the environment.
I don't remember the plant's name, but we have also found a new plant that grows fast on water and can be used as protein to feed fish for more sustainable food. The progress in technology will help us for a while. Still, eventually, humans will have to make a conscious decision and stop reproducing without regard for your home and how we treat her.
At least in the control of human reproduction, many other people have decided that they don't want anything to do with it because many of us have realized that the juice is not worth the squeeze. Many young people are postponing marriage, and some unions are even childless because they don't want to deal with the responsibilities of having kids.
If we don't change our way, eventually, we will meet our destiny. Suppose governments and the whole population continue to engage in destructive behaviors. In that case, finally, we will reach the point where many other species have got, which is death because there are no longer more resources to consume. Many of our decisions are based on economic incentives, so I guess that in that factor, cryptocurrencies could play a role in the future.
As we all know, cryptocurrencies have a limited supply within their networks. Because of that, they could be environmentally friendly, but I still don't see how that could help us in the fight against climate change. Just because Earth has limited resources doesn't mean that a limited supply of cryptocurrency will be the solution to such a problem or that it could help us. In the future, someone will think of a solution to incorporate cryptocurrencies into the fight against climate degradation.
I've pointed out many of the issues we face as a species, but no solutions at this point. The truth is that if you want to fight climate change, you must also start by being responsible for your actions. Having more than two kids should be a decision, not a mandate, and I shouldn't have to tell how many children one should have. That is something that every responsible adult should make, knowing their outsprint will only replace them once they die.
Having only one will mean that after a few years, young people will be a scarce thing to see. I guess I am saying that climate change solutions start at home by teaching responsibility to the new generations. But as you know, responsibility is something that many won't like to talk about because that means taking care of one's actions without having an excuse or blaming others. Responsibility is a topic that many would instead not address because it means more work on top of what you already may have.
Writing this article, it came to me one episode of Star Trek next generation about humans trying to divide our planet's resources among ourselves and that we had wars because of it.
the earth's resources particularly in the energy reserved is depleting in rapid paced and that is very alarming.
