Last Birth "War Diary" As if the problems experienced were not enough, we became our "war diary". 1 of every 3 articles I read is about war, 1/3 of the news time I watch is war news. In the conversations, the situation is not much different, the war and the high fuel prices related to the war and other products triggered by the rising fuel prices. As a result, everything is tied to the war, and at this point, there is an increase in the estimates that the war will last a long time. While Ukraine and Russia share their trump cards in the front arena, the USA and Russia are performing the arts of economic warfare in the background. The dominance, which changes almost every day, has turned to ebb and flow between the parties. The increases in fuel prices triggered by the war and increased more than expected began to affect the prices of products planted with fuel, harvested and transported to different regions. Although Europe tries to contribute in its own way to the economic war between the USA and Russia, it cannot go beyond being an extra… But this economic war is advancing rapidly to create a global result. Even though many countries and their citizens are not directly involved in the war, they have begun to be affected and are worried that the economic war will turn into a global crisis. The global crisis affected the developing countries the most in the past and it was not easy to get rid of the effects of the crisis. Uncertainty in Iran, collapse of US promises to bring democracy in Iraq! The prolonged uncertainty in Syria and the country's efforts to get out of a civil war that has lasted for years, the fact that the Karabakh conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia, which has been going on for years, has not been clarified, and the frictions between Turkey and Greece in the Aegean Sea from time to time have deeply affected the security of Turkey, which borders all these countries. The war between Ukraine and Russia, which started and continues on top of all this, may create a new security threat in the short or long term. Despite being a member of NATO since 1952 and using all its possibilities, capabilities and possibilities for the benefit of the organization, the sale of defense weapons by NATO member countries has been banned for years to a country whose geographical location is a shirt of fire (Turkey) and has not been realized. Although the mentioned weapons were only for defensive purposes and covered their own airspace, the obstructions continued and some of the other NATO member countries supported the obstructions. The country, which tried to solve this problem with the S-400 defense weapons from Russia, was imposed economic sanctions by the USA and its developing economy was turned upside down. He also stated that "a NATO member country cannot buy weapons from Russia" as the reason for opposing the procurement of defense weapons, which he did not sell, from another country. If we go back a few years, it tried to close Greece's (NATO member) silence about the purchase of S-300 weapons from Russia and not to impose any sanctions with the "3 monkeys" game and removed Turkey from the F-35 project as one of its investments. We can record all these as “what a so-called ally country does to another ally country” and approach it from a narrow point of view. When we look briefly at NATO's Article 5, "an attack on one member is considered an attack on all members." Turkey has been under the attacks of an organization that is on the terrorist organizations list of the USA and Europe for years, but Article 5 was not implemented despite its demand. Article 5 was used for the first and only time in its history during the September 11 attacks in 2001. Article 5, which was operated after a terrorist attack on the USA, has not been applied for the other country that has been subjected to terrorist attacks for more than 30 years. The country's right to self-defense has also been tried to be hindered by economic and weapons sanctions and has been disrupted. Here, I do not want to take an accusatory approach to an issue that I can be a party to by criticizing a country, organization, institution or person. What I want to tell is the contradictions between the decisions taken and the practices made. The economic sanctions applied directly affect the innocent people more than the governments of the country. Just like in the wars, those who started the wars directly impose all the pain on the citizens. It is the way I would prefer and desire to spend the budgets spent on offensive weapons directly on behalf of humanity, regardless of country and position, and to discuss the problems that may arise at the table with options other than war and economic sanctions. It is not my job to be directly involved in making a decision that the public will always pay for. I don't think I would support anyone involved in this either. Hoping that the problems will be resolved as soon as possible before war and economic sanctions are involved, Thank you for reading! Unless otherwise stated, all content is mine.
