Many products that we buy, eat and drink almost every day have gone through many processes, even the most innocent of them is harmful to the environment and human health. Many diseases that are increasing today are one of the most important factors of this. Genetically modified products and animals, chemicals used in the cultivation of the product enter our body easily and are difficult or cannot be removed, and they remain in our bodies. At the point of preventing these, the importance of organic agriculture and the promotion of its use are also our responsibility, and it is necessary to support organic product cultivation by purchasing organic products.

What is organic farming?

It is a certified production method that does not harm nature and human health and is based on soil fertility and food safety without artificial external interventions such as chemicals, fertilizers, pesticides, and is under control at every stage from production to consumption based on a sustainable yield.

The main thing in organic production is to use cultural and old methods at every stage to grow products that do not harm people, the environment and living things. In order for the grown product to be organic, all external factors such as chemicals, fertilizers and pesticides must not be used in or near the area where the product is grown.

We can understand whether a product is organic with the certificate obtained after the relevant inspections and controls, these certificates are under the control of the Ministry of Agriculture in most countries and the area for organic production is determined in advance. When you want to make organic production, you must apply to the relevant authorities in advance and inform about the organic product and area you will grow.

Instead of using fertilizers containing chemicals and related chemical substances, it is preferred to use green manure, manure from animal wastes, vegetable wastes (compost) and some organic wastes.

Instead of pesticides and pesticides containing chemicals, mice, cats, birds and some insect species, which we can call some predators provided by nature, which are alternative plant protection methods, are the preferred ways to protect organic products.

Grown organic products

A certificate is needed in order to grow these products and market them nationally and internationally. This certificate is called ORGANIC PRODUCT CERTIFICATE. Having this certificate means that the product has passed some controls and inspections from the moment it is first sewn to the moment it is packaged.

Persons providing the relevant inspection are personnel who have undergone certain training. The process is completed as a result of the control of the farmer and the people who process the product at certain intervals by these personnel and that these people comply with the norms.

Understanding that the product is organic at the purchasing stage

If the product to be purchased is packaged, we can understand whether it is organic by looking at the labels on it, information about the place where it is grown, the logo showing that it is organic, the control and certificate code or logo, the certificate number. There are some applications where the certificate number can be checked.

Each of us is born with an instinct to protect ourselves. This instinct is an innate gift to us. It may not be enough to protect ourselves only from visible dangers, we must also protect ourselves from unseen dangers. It is easy to be protected from visible dangers, you can do it with a few very simple actions or movements, the difficult thing is to be protected from invisible dangers. Organic farming is a step and action that can protect us from unseen dangers in our eating and drinking habits.

Anyone who lives in the village or in the countryside and has their own garden can choose organic and natural ways to grow some of the products they use. By purchasing organic products, those living in the city can contribute both to their own lives and to those who prefer to grow organic products.
