Animal and Human Presence in Common Living Areas
Let's talk about 3 acts of kindness that can be done without incurring any additional expenses.
1- It is a simple but effective method that can be organized with a few people as a neighborhood, street or avenue. When the heat is high or the seasonal movement coincides with the summer months, placing water-filled containers and waste food at home in a predetermined roadside, wide sidewalk or similar space in a suitable location saves the lives of many living things.
It is very difficult for street animals to find water in summer and food in winter. This activity, which can even be counted as a simple walk, is good for your mental, physical and mental health.
Street animals always visit there to quench their thirst and hunger, as the determined area will not be left without water and food, thanks to the coordinated action initiated with a few relatives, friends or animal lovers.
It is enough to have a few people connected with each other in order to do this simple act of kindness completely. More people means more water and food needs are met.
2- Contrary to the first act of kindness, it is to meet the needs of stray animals about shelter, health and reproduction in a way that can be done in coordination with local governments.
Donations from local governments and volunteer animal lovers are required, as it will require more knowledge, experience and financial expenses than the first organization. Thanks to the shelters they create, local governments can meet the health needs of animals and control their reproduction while doing health checks. For this, it is necessary to have expert teams, which means extra expense.
When stray animals are mentioned, only cats, dogs and similar creatures should not come to mind. We can think of it as native birds, migratory birds, tropical creatures or creatures that are brought from different places to feed and then abandoned and released uncontrollably. Many of them need help with their food and shelter needs as they will have difficulty adapting to climatic conditions.
This is one of the main purposes of shelters created by local governments. The creatures that have difficulties in life outside continue their lives in the suitable conditions created in the shelter and attract the attention of animal lovers who want to adopt.
In both cases, the right to life and living conditions that living things need are created and support is provided to meet them. The effort of anyone who wants to help, whether volunteer or professional support, is appreciated.
3- The improvement / development of animal rights and laws requires greater authority, responsibility and sacrifice, unlike the first two stages mentioned. What you can do as a volunteer here is limited. Local governments have limited powers. To attract the attention of legislators, some animal rights advocates act in line with the needs of society. And in cooperation with legislators, options such as enacting new laws or reorganizing existing laws are discussed in line with the needs.
Unfortunately, when it comes to some people, they see all kinds of rights in terms of a sustainable life as their own, while they give limited rights to other living things.
There are people who have personality and psychological problems just to torture a living thing. They can be extremely normal individuals in their human relationships. That's why we can only understand how they treat living things when they reveal themselves.
The only thing that can stop people in this and similar examples is the penal pressure brought by the laws.
It is the responsibility of various animal-loving non-governmental organizations to ensure that animal rights laws are adequate, kept up-to-date as needed, and that the authorities are warned about this issue.
First of all, it is the duty of all individuals and the societies they form to ensure that animal and human life can continue smoothly in appropriate environments and, when necessary, in common living spaces.
When it comes to living life, everyone needs to take responsibility and take responsibility. Remember, it's about life!
