Good day friends,
I am writing this article to address an issue i have observed lately and hope after members of the "poems and flashfiction" community read this, would react positively to it.
Foremost, I would like to appreciate every writer who has joined the "poems and flashfiction" community to showcase the beauty of the art. The community has grown to over 300 plus members and its a joy to read the submissions that gets submitted everyday.
Quality over Quantity
Each time i check my notifications to moderate poems and flashfictions submitted to the community. I realize the quality of the submited article is low with poorly written grammar, punctuations, poor plot development, and flat story lines. I noticed this is due to the fact that writers feel they need to submit loads of articles daily thereby barely proof reading what they have written and also alot of stolen contents gets induced in their articles without due permission from the original author.
_Its no news that the point system has been abolished and this would fetch you nothing as your articles have been poorly written_
Your Pen is Your identity as a writer, write well.
Its a tough task to write a very intriguing and engaging article but its worth it if you are able to communicate with your audience in the way that they would want to read more from you.
*I would rather have a ferrari than 3 volkswagen (no offence to volks)*
Rather than write multiple articles of low quality that wouldnt engage your audience or make them want to subscribe to you.
Take your time to write one very good article that engages your audience, passes a message and create a discuss in the comments.
I would make an article on some writing tips tomorrow that would help you checkmate your content and possibly improve the quality of your articles. I really had to write this because daily i read through the submissions and its quite discouraging.
I would really wish to see members of poems and flashfiction community improve greatly and put more effort into create a very great article.
Cheers and thank you for reading.
