2 41

Freelancing is one of the hardest thing you can do in your life. You have to literally chase every opportunity and make sure you are moving ahead in your life. So budgeting comes naturally.

However a lot of freelancers are not aware of how to budget and how to chase new clients managing the budget and adjusting as the money flow comes in and out of our bank accounts or crypto accounts.

So in this article, I wish to put down some of the points that you can make use of for the setting the budget for your freelancing lifestyle. And we can also get this approach towards from as simple as being a freelancer to being fixed income mindset and adjusting to multiple in and out of money.

Let's take a look at some of the points that could help you with setting up a budget for your freelancing lifestyle.

Action Plan: Make sure to go through various points that we have laid down in here and see if you can adjust your budget in that. Freelancing is never going to be any easy and we have to learn to adjust the same.

Income Sources

Freelancers never depend on one income source. If you are one then don't depend on one income source. Make sure to put your eggs in multiple basket. Like earn from crypto, earn from the stock income.

Make sure to keep your income sources running. Like you have stock income coming in and also staking the crypto earns you some income. So the sources needs to be moving even when you are not.

This approach to the income sources allows you to make sure to adjust your mindset towards the income flow. So if you are a freelancer pay attention to the income sources and then start building your next steps.

Spending & Tracking

How much do you spend on things? Do you keep track of that? How do you keep track of things? Make sure to have some sort of mechanism for you to track the spending. This way you get an idea.

There are plenty of apps that keep track of your spending through the SMS and the other means like getting OTPs which are from the payment system and this is used to track. Which helps them with spending and tracking.

Tracking is always an important thing to do. Make sure to find out where you are going and what you are spending on. This is something you learn from hits and misses. As something like this does take time.

Planning Investment & Goals

Why are you planning on investment? What are your goals? What do you plan on achieving? Something like this needs to be understood as well. It is what makes it easier to chase the goals.

Investment requires the ladder like approach. Where you have to plan things. You have to setup goals and also manage the investment on time. Some of the time that does not happen overnight.

You have to focus on the goals. You have to understand that having goals, working on them and then doing your investment accordingly is what is necessity. Something freelancers take years to manage and work on as well.

Progress. Adjustment.

Not every day gets you new job. Freelancers have to constantly check for new job and work on their goals. One day it could be a good progress and another day it could be something that gets their bank account dried.

That refining requires some level of adjustment. Progress does not happen overtime. You have to wait for many variables to work on. And also adjust as the time goes ahead as well.

What do you think?

Sometimes we have to change strategies in order to make better budget. Life of freelancer people is always on a roller coaster. And so we have to understand that things change as cashflow changes.
