"How do you see yourself 10 years from now?" This is a common question yet so hard to answer. It's like picking up the appropriate piece to place in a jigsaw puzzle in a jar filled with thousands of choices. However, at the end of the day, you'll still find yourself looking for that piece, desperately.
There are times that we get confuse on what path should we take. Things like who should we become, or to what career we should take.
Here in the Philippines, higher educational attainment is the most powerful criterion you must have when applying for a job. Meaning, if you have finished a degree, then there's a higher probability of being hired. On the other hand, if you are not a degree holder, then I'm certain, there's a lower chance of having that position you're applying for. That's the reality people usually know...
As for me, It is not bad to be born poor, we shouldn't be ashamed of that fact, but if you die poor, then, you're the problem. This life isn't as stable as you thought it to be. It's like riding on a roller coaster, no matter how many turns you take, once you'll find enjoyment, it'll be fun. And as the common phrase goes, "Life is like a wheel", you may be at bottom right now, but with perseverance and hard work, there's a greater chance of reaching the top in no time.
Take the story of Henry Sy, the owner of SM, as an inspiration. Before he became one of the richest people alive, he started from the bottom. He used to clean, polish shoes. Despite having a hard life, he didn't stop there, he worked hard to escape to the mud he was placed on. And look how successful he became. The SM is one of the successful malls we have now.
It's a clearer picture of how life turns around at some point in time. Let's cut the mentality that if you are born poor, you'll destined to die poor.
"Goals are meant to be reached". Being positive is what we ought to be.
People who have the courage to take risks just to reach the goal and have fighting spirits, tend to have a brighter future ahead compare to those individuals who do nothing to attain life improvement.
Professionals or not, we all wanted to become successful in the near future. But the road to gain the title is a bit rocky and somewhat steep. As what we have been told, life will never be easy to deal with. Probably, some of our plans, most of it rather, might not go along the way we wished it to be. That's life. It'll challenge us until we learn how to manage those dares and turn it into stepping stone towards our goals. As per the cartoon movie Boss Baby, "The path to success isn’t a straight line, but rather like a wild ride, like a ship at sea, and you’re a sea captain taming a turbulent ocean."
Let's claim it. 10 years from now, we will all become successful!
