Each one of us knows "Mother Mary" , or some may called her the "Virgin Mary" or "Mama Mary".

She is known by all because she is the woman who gave birth to Jesus by Virgin Birth. She agreed willingly to become the mother of Jesus Christ, as Angel Gabriel came and told her that she would give birth to the Son of God.

Do you know what's the day today?

It's September 8! And today plays a significant role and is one of the most tender and natural feasts on the Church calendar.

According to the old traditions, Mary was born in Jerusalem and traditionally celebrated her nativity on the 8th of September.

Because of her obedience and acceptance of God's will she's always remember by everyone. And people celebrates her birthday today because we gratefully remember her wonderful role and love for God.

Who gave birth to Mother Mary?

Saint Anne is the mother of Mary.

But why she is chosen by God? Is she perfect and committed no sin?

No, she's not perdect at all. She made same mistakes, and committed some of the same sins as anyone else, but God chose to bless her by allowing her to deliver the perfect lamb. She also had the God-given strength to endure the trials that would surely go along with being the mother of Jesus.

Mary had a birthday, just like you and I have birthdays. We all celebrates our earthly mother's birthday. So why not our heavenly Mother’s birthday?
