Missing the great outdoors. Been cooped up at home since forever. This is ๐๐š๐ฅ๐ฆ ๐†๐š๐ซ๐๐ž๐ง ๐†๐จ๐ฅ๐Ÿ ๐‚๐ฅ๐ฎ๐› in Putrajaya, Malaysia. I don't play golf but accompany friends sometimes. It annoys me when they tell me that they cannot concentrate when I'm talking. Duhhhh just hit the bladdy ball!

@emily2u

Thank you @Jane for increasing sponsorship amount! @Jane is my first sponsor. I appreciate the support, even when I was unproven. It certainly helped me to keep publishing, because I feel bad if I had sponsors but left my page inactive. hehehe... let's keep writing, keep hustling. And may Rusty bless us all by tipping every single article published. hahaha!!!

@emily2u

Super tired already, so need to take a nap before a Zoom meeting at 5pm. Here's a photo of me at the beach, a photoshoot session to promote the windbreaker. ๐Ÿ˜‚ When can we do stuff like this again?

@emily2u

Our host was the city council of Den Haag, and toured the waters off Den Haag. It was quite an experience, and I only managed to get a spot for myself thanks to the strong cable of my friend. Putrajaya is lighted up every night โ€“ there are three sets of lighting throughout the year. The duration of my Putrajaya Lake Cruise is about 40 minutes.

@emily2u

I love orchids, although I cannot tell one species from the other. LOL This photo was taken during an orchid show/sale some time back. Such beauty, don't you think so?

@emily2u

More orchid blooms that I found on my hard disk, this time in yellow. I can't decide which color orchids I prefer.

@emily2u

I miss road trips! I love hopping into a car and go wherever I fancy... I hate driving, though. AHAHAH!!! This shot was of ๐‘ป๐’‚๐’๐’‹๐’–๐’๐’ˆ ๐‘ท๐’Š๐’‚๐’Š in Johor, Malaysia. You are wondering why I took this photo even though it doesn't look special, the reason is that this is the southernmost point of Peninsular Malaysia, meaning, it is the southern point of mainland Eurasia. It's in Pontian, Johor, Malaysia. I love landmarks like this and geographical borders; I try my best to go to them toโ€ฆ

@emily2u

This is a peacock that I captured at KL Bird Park, during one of my visits. I can't never get bored here. Anyone who has visited before knows how much fun can be had here, and so much to learn, too!

@emily2u

This is not the first time that I have shared the Petronas Twin Towers. However, this is a view in broad daylight. Anyone who comes to Malaysia for the first time, or a domestic traveler on a maiden trip to the capital city, must take a photo WITH the structure, day or night. Link: https://www.petronastwintowers.com.my/

@emily2u

The day I climbed the Great Wall of China from Juyong Pass. I visited China some years ago in March - it was still quite cold. The Great Wall of China was quite busy, mainly Chinese domestic travelers but I met a group of tourists from Kedah. Hahaha I wasn't a fit person back then, not that I am fit now either, but fitter than then. The Great Wall of China is not easy to conquer. I wasn't able to complete the trail because I had to go back to the point where my bus waitedโ€ฆ

@emily2u

Went to take a nap but now I am up with a humongous headache. I dreamt that I was about to board a helicopter, walking behind my friend. I suddenly realised that I wasn't wearing a mask, so I rummaged in my bag as I walked. My friend was slow as he was unwell. After my friend went up, the door just shut and the heli flew off. I stood there dumbfounded and just screamed, "It left me behind!!!!! It left me behind!!!!" I was begging the woman staff on the platform with me toโ€ฆ

@emily2u

It's another night for overtime... Don't I just wish that I can lounge like this big bear? The consolation is knowing that if I can settle these tasks today and tomorrow, then I can have the weekend free. Woohoo!!!

@emily2u

Thank you @Bloghound for your sponsorship. Thank you for your confidence in me. I feel your love.

@emily2u

Thank you so much to @Eylz2021 for the sponsorship! I appreciate your confidence in me and my writing. It surely motivates me to continue to meet my KPI of 1 article a day... until we are allowed to travel. LOL

@emily2u

This is the Kallumalai Arulmigu Sri Subramaniar Hindu Temple in my city of Ipoh, Malaysia. I often shared places of worship such as mosques and Chinese temples but never on Hindu temples, so this is one. Look at the intricate carving.

@emily2u

Earlier, managed to spend some time here at this resort, where my friend works. It was hot and I was tempted to jump in, but then the pool is closed.

@emily2u

Thank you soooo much to @ARTicLEE for being my latest sponsor. I appreciate your support!!!

@emily2u

Naughty doggie of my neighbor who comes to my house every morning to get some food... for the past 7 years! My own dog is OK with that. Hahaha!!

@emily2u

Meet Orien the Husky. Orien is one of the Husky dogs at a "cafe" in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, that I visited before. I went at the wrong time, though, as the dogs were sleepy. Hehehe

@emily2u

This was taken during a visit to the KL Butterfly Park in Kuala Lumpur. My friend took me there, and even paid for my ticket. It was sooo kind of her!! I really had a wonderful time, although butterflies are difficult to capture on camera.

@emily2u

I shared before the Bornean bearded pigs but this shot was captured on another trip to the same area: Bako National Park in Sarawak, Malaysia. I took this photo when I was riding past in a boat, and zoomed the camera toward the beach. LOL

@emily2u

This shot was taken during my visit to the Kuala Gandah Elephant Conservation Centre. This elephant sanctuary is located in Temerloh, Pahang. It was established in 1989 by the Malaysian Department of Wildlife and National Parks, with its primary objective to increase public awareness of the plight of rescued Asian elephants. Although I have visited some attractions in Pahang, in my view, this is a state that I still have yet to explore.

@emily2u

Today, I came across this photo on Google Photos, taken two years ago. I was reminded of the time I spent three nights here, and my roommate locked me out of the room TWO of those three nights. Like WTF??? She swore she didn't do it... and after the first night of locking me out, she double-checked that she didn't use the door chain, but it happened once again! What gives?

@emily2u

During the 6.6 sale, the oximeter that I purchased was delivered to my neighbor who denied receiving it, causing me to lodge a claim with Shopee. It was difficult to prove non-receipt! The delivery service was J&T. https://read.cash/@emily2u/i-successfully-disputed-non-receipt-with-shopee-this-was-how-i-did-it-545db042 On 7.7, I bought the same thing from the same seller, but this time through Lazada, which has its own logistics company. With Sir Marc's impending trip to Amsterdam, I am reminded of my own visit some years ago. I like Holland so much, I think I can live there forever. But first, I need enough EUROs and I need to learn to cycle. AHAHAHA!!!! Oh, when I was in Amsterdam, I visited the Red Light District and the Sex Museum... of course must visit, because we are not allowed to have them here in Malaysia.

@emily2u

Still missing my Holland holiday. Since I'm Chinese, my travel mate thought that it would be a great idea to eat Chinese. We had a great laugh looking at the menu of this restaurant that was just around the corner from our hotel in Rotterdam. Dang... I'm not gonna pay EUR29.50, let alone EUR49.50 to eat whatever!!! I love surprises, but not when they cost me that much Ringgit!!!

@emily2u

Still going through my Netherlands photo album and having a great laugh looking at photos from my visit to the s3x museum in Amsterdam. While there are many photos that I wish to share, I don't think this is the right platform for it. So, here is one of Marilyn Monroe. The museum paid tribute to her with her own corner.

@emily2u

One of my best animal photos that was even used as the cover of a newspaper pull-out. 3 merbok (dove) perched on my neighbor's rambutan tree.

@emily2u

One of the things I love doing when travelling is to explore the place on foot. Here's a huge wall mural of a girl which I discovered while exploring the Chinatown of Kuala Terengganu in the east coast state of Terengganu in Malaysia. I captured her with the arch as a frame.

@emily2u

I have shared quite a few photos of floating mosques or places of worship in general, but this one is different. This is the Tengku Tengah Zaharah Mosque in Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu, Malaysia. It's the first floating mosque in the country. It features Moorish-cum-modern architecture. In Malay, it's called ๐‘ด๐’‚๐’”๐’‹๐’Š๐’… ๐‘ป๐’†๐’๐’ˆ๐’Œ๐’– ๐‘ป๐’†๐’๐’ˆ๐’‚๐’‰ ๐’๐’‚๐’‰๐’‚๐’“๐’‚๐’‰.

@emily2u

Haven't been out to sea for way too long. This was a shot from my speedboat to another, on our way for clam digging activity in Setiu, Terengganu, Malaysia. Who likes to ride on speedboats? The bumps against the current are hard as concrete! Brace yourselves!

@emily2u

Can't wait for the weekend to come....but then there is a report to generate on Sunday, that will take me the entire day to tackle. Duhhhhh why is time passing so fast? It seems to be report day every other week!

This is Malaysia's Royal Museum in Kuala Lumpur. Locally, we call it "Old Istana Negara" because a new one was constructed at another location. Therefore, what was once the official residence of Malaysiaโ€™s monarch and head of state, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, has been turned into a museum. I am only able to share a few photos here, but if you are in Kuala Lumpur, you should visit, to see for yourself the opulent lifestyle. The interior is the small audience hall, where theโ€ฆ

The other day, I shared a photo that I took of a huge wall mural of a girl. The wall mural is in Chinatown of Kuala Terengganu in Terengganu, Malaysia. See here: https://noise.cash/post/lq7zwm75 I was reminded of another girl mural that I captured. I took this during my foot exploration of Singapore on time. It's by Ernest Zacharevic, and is part of a series of street art by Ernest. This is Girl And The Lion Cub along Victoria Street.

Some time ago, I visited this coffee mill in my state of Perak. They are famous for their range of coffee products including Kopi Luwak, or civet coffee. Wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kopi_luwak I am not a coffee fanatic, what more coffee that was processed from civet poo. Nonetheless, I did purchase several packages as gifts for some relatives.

Famous dating spot in Kuala Lumpur - Ampang Lookout Point I've been here twice - not for dating, though, just for photography and to see the lights. One time I was here to see the before/after Earth Hour. It was nice to see the capital city shut its lights and get lighted again after an hour.

@emily2u

I took this photo at the top of a double-decker bus while touring Kuala Lumpur. This is Malaysia's ๐‘ญ๐’†๐’…๐’†๐’“๐’‚๐’ ๐‘ป๐’†๐’“๐’“๐’Š๐’•๐’๐’“๐’š ๐‘ด๐’๐’”๐’’๐’–๐’† bask in the evening light. Sitting on five hectares of land, it was opened to the public in 2000 after about two years of construction. It is large enough to accommodate 17,000 worshippers all at once. What's interesting about this mosque is that its architecture is influenced by Ottoman and Malay styles, and inspired by Istanbul's Blue Mosque.

@emily2u

This is the general post office in Ipoh. My mom worked here for many years until her retirement. I used to never have to worry about "going to mail letters" because I just passed them to my mom, which was a reason why I had so many penpals from around the world. Ahahahah!!!

@emily2u

Thanks @Just1dood for your sponsorship and motivation! Appreciate your trust in me. AHAHA

This is Hainan Temple along Lebuh Gereja in Penang, Malaysia. This building was erected in 1895 - that's 126 years ago! In the old days, there were many people from China sailing to Southeast Asia, including Malaya (old name for Malaysia), to seek a better life. Therefore, with their safe arrival and thriving businesses, this temple was built and dedicated to Mazu, the patron saint of seafarers. Hainan Temple is also known as Temple of the Heavenly Queen. Saw this small butterfly in my garden this morning while I was brisk walking. The wind was quite strong, causing it to close its wings. I had to be patient to wait for the right time and to make multiple shots before I managed to get one that I'm satisfied with. LOL

@emily2u

Ah, so, here is the culprit that is devouring my beautiful flowering plant! Do I kill it to save my plant or give it a chance to turn into a beautiful butterfly? Decisions, decisions! So many hard ones to make every day. LOL

@emily2u

WHOAAAA What are my chances to winning the jackpot this time? It better be good, baby!! I need my sats to go above 30K to reap the interest again. Lost a lot of sats playing that multiplier game. Duh!!!

@emily2u

Cat with strange eyes ~ Met this stray cat when on a road trip pre-lockdown and its eyes caught my attention. Very unique, strange and extremely creepy! What do you think?

@emily2u

Facebook tells me that 4 years ago today, I flew to Jordan... woo time flies. How long has it been since we took a flight. My most recent was Sept 2019 to Vietnam. Arghh bang my head!!!

@emily2u

When I was travelling in Beijing, our group tour included an evening at the theatre. We were given a choice of Shaolin performance or acrobatic show. No prizes for guessing what we opted for.

@emily2u

The other day, I mentioned being in a crystal store in China that sells everything crystals. Ah, I came across these two photos on my hard disk, from that trip. Still giving me a laugh how my friends clamored to purchase at the mention of "Buy 1 Get 1 FREE".

@emily2u

Is this an aquarium? Actually, no it is not! It's a painting using glow-in-the-dark paint of an underwater scene. I think the artist is super talented.

One thing that struck me during my visit to the Netherlands was how the bicycle is their primary mode of transport. As I don't know how to cycle (forgotten how), I wanted to look for a local who also doesn't know how... my friend says that I'll be stuck there forever looking for this person. Wouldn't I love that? hohoho!

@emily2u

When we first arrived in the Netherlands, my friend taught it was an awesome idea to rent a scooter and visit places. So, we went to this business called Scotter Hill....rented one for 24 hours, but damn, the weather was soooooo cold, I was freezing as a pillion rider.. AHAHAHA We returned the scooter before 24 hours was up. LOL

@emily2u

I was walking somewhere in the Netherlands and I got lost but with views like this and others that I plan to share later, I really didn't mind it. I just continued to explore and took more and more photos! But because I had an event to attend, I eventually had to rush away.

@emily2u

I miss road trips. I remember this time I crossed to Singapore from Johor Bahru on the double-decker coach at 6am. I took the very first seat by the windshield on the upper deck for the best view. I was so excited when we first arrived and saw this Marina Bay Sands building. It was only a day trip, to save on cost. When can we do this again?

@emily2u

One of the things that I miss the most during this period is the road trips. I know I'm beginning to sound like a broken record, but hear me out. It's the chasing of sunsets that I miss. The adrenaline rush, especially when in an unfamiliar place, and you don't really know where are the best spots for photographing the sunset! LOL This shot was during a road trip somewhere in Johor. Ah, those were the days. It's like a lifetime ago!

The houses in Beipu Hakka Community in Taiwan are very interesting. It's strange how life turns out to be. Honestly, as a banana, I never dreamt that I would visit a Mandarin-speaking country but the opportunity arose, and I grabbed it of course. Spent 6 days touring Taiwan with driver and translator.

@emily2u

Whoooaaa just found time to clear email, and I hit the jackpot... oh well, almost. I'm just happy because I am above 30K sats again for the daily interest. My balance went lower because I lost in the multiplier game! Duh!!!!
