This is Hainan Temple along Lebuh Gereja in Penang, Malaysia. This building was erected in 1895 - that's 126 years ago! In the old days, there were many people from China sailing to Southeast Asia, including Malaya (old name for Malaysia), to seek a better life. Therefore, with their safe arrival and thriving businesses, this temple was built and dedicated to Mazu, the patron saint of seafarers.   Hainan Temple is also known as Temple of the Heavenly Queen. You'd notice that I share a lot of photos of places of worship. It's because I just admire their architecture.
