It was a hot afternoon and we had a blackout. Mobile phones are all on low battery. My nephews and I cannot use our phones to play games.
We got bored and decided to play any game I can think about. Good thing I saw my brothers toy. It's a classic game named Pick up sticks.
Pick-up sticks requires physical and mental skill. It is a game in which a bundle of sticks are dropped as it falls loosely onto a flat table top.
Rules
Each player will have to play by turns. To identify who goes first, you can do "Rock-Paper-Scissors" or toss coin. The player in turn must try to remove a stick from pile without touching or moving the other sticks.
The players must try to remove a single stick at a time, without touching or moving any other stick. Players can use the black stick to move the stick from the pile of sticks. They can also use their hands as long as they won't touch or move the other sticks. If they moved the sticks, their turn ends.
Objective
There are a lot of version of this games. Depending on the players they can either decide to either declare the winner when they have the:
● most sticks
● more points.
Our deal was who ever wins gets to ask and who ever loses must select truth or consequence. It was fun playing with my nephew as I always win. So I get to ask him personal questions about crushes and he was so shy. Our boring afternoon turned to a fun exciting afternoon. Most of the kids now do not play classic games anymore but it's good that once in awhile we get to play this kind of game with children.
I had one too. Just wooden sticks. Never figured out about the points system but it's fun.
