In many countries artists make wonders from snow, "Ice Moscow" at Victory Park is popular in Russia in December, also in Japan, there is a festival in Sapporo, during February and it is something that cannot be described by simple words.

Winter in Japan is pretty cold, especially in northern areas like Hokkaido, Tohoku region and Northern Kanto region, and if you want to enjoy the snowy and icy winter in Japan you have to visit snow festivals.

Winter festivals are held across the country between January to March featuring spectacular snow white, ice sculptures, illuminations and traditional Japanese winter scenery.

Sapporo snow Festival is the most famous event during winter.

Unfortunately, the Sapporo Snow Festival, scheduled in 2021, is currently under consideration to be held at a reduced scale and without large snow sculptures because of the COVID 19.

You can enjoy in some photos and videos taken in Japan in previous years. This video will impress you.

This Festival in Japan, is very popular worldwide, and tourists enjoy taking photos there.

The Sapporo Snow Festival takes place every year for a week in February across three main sites: Odori Park, Tsudome and Susukino. As the name implies, this festival is all about snow and ice sculptures.

In Odori Park , you’ll find most of the snow and ice sculptures, as well as plenty of warm drinks and food choices. The ice sculptures can be over 15 meters tall and 25 meters wide.

Enjoy in beautiful photos taken there.

I hope you enjoyed reading and watching video and photos from Sapporo snow festival.

I love snow! It has been raining here all day and I can't wait to go out with the kids in the morning :) The Star Wars figure from the video you shared with us is too good! Very nicely written article about a beautiful festival.
