I live in a small country in Europe called Serbia. In my country we don't celebrate Haloween, majority of people do not understand what it Is about, they see it as a Dark holiday full of morbid and scary costumes, evoking negative feelings. There are also people in my country who want to have some fun so they follow and celebrate Halloween in some small group parties.Molls and shops are full of clothes and different items with Haloween motives,so in some manner young people are exploring and try to find out more about the mentioned holiday.
Halloween takes place every year on 31 October, and in Serbia that day Is an ortodox holiday and saint patron saint Luke. The Serbian Ortodox Church and its believers celebrate 31st October as the day of Saint Luka (Luke the Evangelist). He was actually protector of doctors and the first icon painter,it Is believed that he was the first painter who painted Jesus .
Even thought the Halloween Is not celebrated like in other countries, many schools, kindergartens and young people do some paintings, making costumes, have some activities connected to Haloween.
In October are usually organized costume parties, but not scary Ines, there are cartoon characters, animal costumes, fairy takes,Disney characters...My Kids like costume parties and often change their roles being someone else.We all enjoy doing it.
Ellie as a Minie Mouse. She adores to change dresses and costumes so we can find Ellie being some princess or someone else. Her favourite one Is Tinkerbell.
Dora as Elsa From Frozen.
Ana as a little Bee.She enjoys her costume too.
We really enjoy every day.We make costumes out of paper, buy some interesting costumes, sometimes exchange with friends or inherit from relatives.
Photos belong to me,except st.Luke photo taken from internet.
Thanks for reading.
Changing roles and wearing costumes make kids very happy and they really enjoy. For me, Halloween is also a little scary holiday but kids like it very much and it motivates them to be creative and having fun. 😊
