Last week after basketball me and my friend went to have dinner at a nearby 'mamak' restaurant. They serve the usual stuff like any other 'mamak' restaurants here in Malaysia which is Indian and Malaysian cuisine.

We ordered something called 'Maggi Goreng' which is fried instant noodles. So what they do it, they boil the instant noodles like how you'd make it at home, then when it's soften, they drain the water and add the noodles into a wok and fry the noodles with onions, garlic, birds eye chili, egg, cabbage, and some other vegetables.

Maggi Goreng Ayam (Fried Noodles with Fried Chicken)

This place added julienned carrots to it. They season the fried noodles with soy sauce, dark soy sauce, and some other seasonings from the instant noodle packet. For ours, we ordered a fried chicken as well so it was added into the wok to fry with the noodles which gives the dish more flavor and aroma.

I rate the 'Maggi Goreng' here maybe a 3/5. It wasn't bad nor was it very good either. They did serve it on a layer of banana leaf on the plate which was nice for presentation. The carrots were slightly under cooked so every time you had a piece of carrot in your fork with the noodles, you'll get a little crunch from the carrots which wasn't very pleasant. The chicken was alright though so overall I give this place's fried noodles and average rating.
