A couple months ago my wife bought this instant ramen from a place that sells fresh meat and also some pantry items as well as instant noodles. This one here is a pork bone broth ramen (tonkotsu ramen) that is so good I think it can even rival some restaurant's tonkotsu ramen.

The pack is also larger than usual instant noodles so you'll definitely be full after eating a pack of this. It has 2 smaller packs that comes with it, one being a packet of concentrated liquid of pork bone broth seasoning and the other is a packet of dried spring onions.

Like any instant noodle, it's super easy to make. You just need to boil a pot of water of about 400-500ml. After it starts to boil, add in the noodles and the 2 packets of seasoning and dried spring onions. The spring onions will rehydrate and it's surprisingly tasty. The noodles feel like really good quality noodles as it has a springy texture with a little bit of bite to it. Very satisfying mouthfeel to it.

The broth is no question what makes this such a good tonkotsu ramen. The broth taste like it's a bone broth that has been cooked for hours. The first time I tried this I was so surprised at how much depth this broth had and the flavor of the soup was so rich and flavorful.

I've tried an instant ramen that cost more than 8x more than this and it was also made by a Japenese Michelin-star chef but this is definitely leaps and bounds better than that one and only cost around RM3 (<1 USD). Talk about a budget but super delicious meal. You can add your own sides to it like some pork, egg, seaweed, and spring onions to make it look like a restaurant quality bowl of ramen.
