FOODlog #83: Tomato with Pork Tenderloin Stir Fry
For our meals we cook at home, we usually have a meat dish and a vegetable dish. We try to keep this in our diet every other day so that we get the nutrients that our bodies need. Sometimes we also have a soup dish or we combine the meat and vegetables and make a soup. These are the sort of dishes we would have for our meals every other day.
An example of a simple meat dish to make that isn't too tedious or complicated to cook is a pork and tomatoes stir fry. All you need are some cloves of garlic that is minced then sauteed in some oil. Pork slices are then added to fry off for a minute or two and then roughly chopped tomatoes are added. Add some salt, soy sauce, and oyster sauce to taste and you're done.
A vegetable dish that we often cook at home is stir fried spinach. It's simply cooked with garlic in some oil and seasoned with salt. Sometimes we add in minced pork or chicken and if you'd like some added natural sweetness, we normally use wolfberries. If you like some gravy to this dish, you can add water to it and if you add lots of water, it becomes a spinach soup which is also very delicious.
Our go to carb is white rice which is the perfect pairing for Chinese stir fry dishes like this. Very simple food to make that are delicious, satisfying, and part of a good balanced diet.
