FOODlog #49: Beef Rendang

There is a local stall by the roadside nearby where I live that sells really delicious Malay cuisine. It's just a make-do shack that they built and they've been at the same location for 30 years. The food has been good all these years and is still being operated by the same family.

They serve really good 'roti canai', 'nasi lemak', and Malay mix rice where they serve 15-20 dishes every day that's cooked fresh.

One of the things I really love is their 'beef rendang'. It's one of my go to places for beef rendang. The beef is fairly tender but still with a little bite which is how I like it. The fragrance and aroma from the coconut milk and spices are so alluring and it taste as good as it smells. Super delicious and especially delicious with Nasi Lemak.

My mum recently went there and bought back some of their rendang and we ate it with white steamed rice. She also cooked some vegetables which we always try to have every meal. It was such a yummy meal especially the beef rendang! ~~
