A couple weeks back me and some friends at here at Chinese Muslim restaurant nearby our church. It's mainland Chinese food which is totally different from our local Chinese food.
We ordered 3 different dishes for our lunch. Which were a soft tofu dish, some broccoli, and the main dish which is called 'Big Plate Chicken'. It comes with some flat noodles which are expertly made by the chef.
The tofu dish was slightly spicy and very savory. The broccoli is one of my favorite dishes here because they do it so well. It looks so plain and simple but it's packed with flavor. I don't know what they put in this to make it taste so good. Probably the best tasting broccoli in town easily.
The 'Big Plate Chicken' is chicken cooked with potatoes, peppers, and loads of garlic, it's seasoned with lots of spices which 1 of the main ingredients is the Sichuan peppercorns. They are slightly numbing to the tongue and gives a wonderful aroma and beautiful flavor to the dish.
Ate all of this with the noodles and also some rice. Super delicious meal!
